Looking at this after all these years... the nostalgia factor with this being included in RCT3. This ride was way ahead of its time... it looks like its aged tremendously. Those types of elaborate, quick transitions and unique inversions are almost normal now, but they executed this phenomenally 15 years ago. And that's to say nothing of the launch. Mightve just been the way it was filmed but it looks like an absolute kick in the chest...

Can confirm these north eastern parks are a tad cold usually on opening month.
I was there the whole weekend. My hands would freeze on every coaster (but I still put them up!).

I love this Storm Runner! It's probably my favorite Intamin Accelerator of the 3 I've been on. It's the only one that feels like a full experience. The launch, while not as insane as Ka's or Dragster's, is incredible and the top hat, and flying snake dive are top tier elements. I love how the ride uses the terrain. How many top hats have a bigger descent than their ascent? If it had a drop after that s-curve instead of hitting the brakes at the apex of the hill it would be a perfect ride.
I know! The flying snake dive and the ejector off the top hat are insane! Though I have to disagree about the launch. Granted I’ve only ridden kah once, but from what I remember Storm Runner’s launch is far superior and way less rough.
@@madelinegarber7860 weirdly it's the "roughness" of Kingda Ka's launch that I love so much. I don't find it particularly uncomfortable due to the lack of headbanging, but that lateral movement on the launch track just ads to the out of control feeling that launch provides. That being said, the punchiness of Stormrunner's launch is incredible! It feels almost instantaneous.
I agree the launch on Kah is bearable because of the lack of headbanging, but I personally prefer a smooth punchy launch. It’s not as fast as kah of course, but it hits harder in my opinion. You really do have to keep your head back to avoid whiplash.

I’ve never been on Kingda Ka. The height gets me I think and the speed lol. But I did ride this a few weeks ago and I absolutely loved it. My favorite ride in the park. It’s the first launch coaster I’ve ever ridden so I wasn’t sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised.
This ride is really really fun, and everytime I ride it I have to say "Now get ready, here we go" in Takota's voice

This ride has it all, a great launch, a top hat that keeps almost all the momentum as the coaster reaches the top, a massive loop, and some great airtime hills.

They still play it, they just didn't have it on during this time of year I guess. I went last week and it still says it
The audio isn't always perfectly in sync anymore, but I loved the year it opened when the launch kicked you right on the 'g' in 'go' so the 'o' tailed off as you went.
The hangtime you get on the barrel roll is epic
This ride is so much fun! I made the mistake of riding it 3rd rather than later in the day the last time I was there. This is the only coaster my friend wouldn’t ride with me. I didn’t realize there was a heartbeat at the beginning which was a bit unnerving. This was one of those situations where I knew academically exactly what to expect, and I still wasn’t ready. That launch… holy crap nothing I’ve ridden before or since even comes close! I needed a few minutes to recover after the first time I rode it. I also really wanted to ride front row my first time and had to sweet talk one of the people in front of me into switching places. They weren’t super thrilled, but they did it. No regrets.
That launch audio needs a recalibration lol

Sadly, they can never get the “now get ready, here we go” to go off correctly anymore, always too early or too late
My favorite view of this one is down at the BBQ area across from the trailblazer entrance. There's a cool perspective of that snake dive, it always smells like bbq and they sell beer down there. What more could you want?

That's the gist of most of the rides in Hershey. Kinda odd layout and a little short...but super fun either way.
Were you guys there on Sunday? My first trip to Hershey... Was really disappointed that Skyrush, Candymonium and Fahrenheit were all closed... I did get to see Stormrunner rollback twice though.

I haven’t ridden this, but riding this would prove that riding this is better than riding the ride that’s know as Xcelerator, a ride at Knotts Berry Farm. This ride seems to kick ass, and as a ride, it probably rides better than the other American Intamin Accelerator rides.

April isn't a warm month for most of the northern United States, so yeah, it's more so cold then warm this time of year.
There are warm days sprinkled throughout, but for the most part it's a colder start to spring.

Jolly Rancher Remix repaint along with a new ride called Mix'd. They really are going along with the candy themes of late. Its been their latest 5 "new" rides.
