I love that you're promoting this small business which will one day soon probably be a major player in the luxury boat category. Congrats to the Navier team.
In Florida the “no wake” and “idle speed only” zones are legally the “Slowest speed where you can maintain safe control of the boat”. That means in choppy water you can, and should, legally go faster than you can go in smooth water because it’s not safe to go too slow in choppy water.
Thanks for taking us along on this, I think it's amazing and I hope you will be able to post about the boats to come. The folks that created this seemed very happy with their success but were also humble. I laughed at the marshmallow story. One of my nephews- twins- was 2 grades ahead but couldn't get the gist of tieing his shoes until he was 8! His twin brother always tied them for him. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. 😉 Thanks for taking us along, always good to see the girls. Stay safe and GOD bless
@@CaseyLaDelle You likely saw the photo of an island and a lighthouse. The club bought the island near Stockton, CA in 1958 so members had a place to take their boats to warm weather during the frigid/very windy summer months in SF. Recall Mark Twain's quote: The coldest winter I spent was a summer in San Francisco. But they also bought a really amazing lighthouse that was built in 1905 on Southampton Shoal on the Bay. The club bought it for I believe $1 from the US Gov and relocated it onto the island in 1960. It's still there. I also noticed you weren't wearing a hat (as a sailor, that's a rule I don't like). Glad you enjoyed the Club. Catch you next time. Happy to take you and the Fam sailing. That flyer is cool, but there's nothing better than sailing around the Bay.
Hydro/flying boat is pretty cool to see in production. First time I saw something remotely like this was in a James Bond movie. The US military did have a hydrofoil built in a tri-hull... but the cost was astronomical, so it was scrapped. This design will definitely allow the user/owner great distance in rough waters more enjoyable. Though, personally, I enjoy the pounding... call me crazy.
I predict BIG THINGS for that company...... This electric power, combined with the hydrofoils is THE FUTURE of boating. I'm interested in seeing what's going to develop in the way of water taxi's, etc......
At first I thought that towing it with a Cyber Truck was just a marketing gimmick but the fact that both the truck and the boat have Bi-Directional charging is way cool. Also, Showing the different wakes was very impressive.
WOW CASEY.....I LIKE THE "NO WAKE ONLY IDLE" RESTRICTION TECHNICALLY DOES NOT APPLY TO FLYING ELECTRIC BOATS.....AND I LOVE THAT YOU CAN "CRAB WALK" THE BOAT.....GREAT VIDEO.....
I think I’ve said this before- you are an acquired taste. Very seldom do I skip one of your videos any more. One thing I really appreciate is your openness about how RUclips works from the channel operators’ viewpoint. It’s been an education for sure.
Great video with the new camera Casey. I wish the Navier team much success in their future and what an amazing boat. I love the color of the one you and the family rode in.
@@CaseyLaDelle Hi Casey, it's more about the tenor of the sound. a throaty outboard feels good to me, but, that wa more like fingernails on a blackboard. Now, that said, I was a soundguy my whole life and so I am more sensative than most. Neat tech noce the less. And yes, I'm a grump. old man. Speaking of which, Grump will back me up on this. 🙂
$375,000, plus delivery charges, and likely extras, for 75-mile range(what speeds for that number)- good beginning, but limited market. It needs regenerative solar and wind power(while moving), and mechanical regeneration as well while under power.
It seems to me that adding a sail could be a nice combination. Flying on the electrics with the sail down would get you in and out etc. On a very nice day for a lazy cruise, you could switch to sail
Dragline dredging for prison escapees i have a small dragline for dredging ponds im glad my family taught me how to cast and reel it's so music fun and getting to be a lost art like making tyings with a forge and anvil both of which i have and use regularly knifes sell as good at farmers markets as flea markets especially when you can thin slice a tomato with what started life in my garage as a railroad spike
6:02 that is very flat calm water for this area of the bay. The hydrofoil idea is really great for a super smooth wide. The problem is hydrofoil is if they hit anything like a long or stick or some boating debris in San Francisco Bay . The other problem with his hydrofoils is, unless they’re fully retractable is operating in shallow water, which we have a lot of in the bay Back in the mid-1960s hydrofoil outboard motor powered boats were tried . These were just basically your standard out for the 50 horse motor. Maybe 18 feet long with hydrofoils they could be retracted of the doubt it never worked very well.
It does resemble Job's boat, a different look, a bit less gaudy than the Cybertruck but along those lines, seems to run well. Could get a little tippy if a few people were to stand on the bow, but maybe the front fin compensates for the skinny bow.
The huge problem with amazing technology is the price. I just bought last week a 2024 F250 cargo transit van. The only way I could afford it is with no technology. The very least amount of technology they come with. Mid roof. AWD. The smallest motor. 3.5l. Nice boat. For only the rich. Thanks for sharing.
Casey you have some Amazing friends and this Great Content and Video Pretty MUCH TOP OF LIST OUTSTANDING WORK AND GREAT CONTENT 👍 Thanx for sharing your Great experience 👍 Have a Great Day 👍 Very impressive at all the Test
Thank you for the update! It's great you got to go to the launching of the number one production. Did Carina and you get to pilot this time? Riley did, I see.😊
Awesome technology, and a very fun video. I see that Karl the Fog was out the day you recorded. You are lucky you got home already because Karl left and it was 99 degrees yesterday in SF
Good Work! Favorite part. Trying to figure out how to roast a marshmallow for the first time. Still remember picking out the perfect roasting stick way back when.
You don't want a flying boat. - You want a friend with a flying boat.
You could split the difference, and satisfy no one, by calling it a 'hydroflying boat'.
That... works so well... it's actually kinda satisfying.
Flydrafoil
Congratulations to the Navier team.
And thank you Casey, for bringing us along/ sharing.
I love that you're promoting this small business which will one day soon probably be a major player in the luxury boat category. Congrats to the Navier team.
Cool to see Alcatraz in the background.
I lived on a island in that bay for a while.
It was great to journey along with you and your family as they went from prototype to production! Great Product, great video!

That's really exciting for them and it was fun to watch. Thanks for taking us along.
Navier is the Rivian of boats! I have an R1S. It lifts up off the pavement just riding on four road foils.
Thanks for the video. The juxtaposition of the sleek modern boat and the working heavy machinery was cool.
I’m a member of the St Francis Yacht Club. Bummed I didn’t know about this event. Cool boat!
I’ve been to St Francis a few times now! The old maps of the bay they have on display are really cool

I got to 0:38 of the video and decided to post a comment. Here it goes: it's not flying, it is hydrofoiling. There, I did my part.
@@СергейБеспалов-м8с everybody knows he just likes saying flying
unlike in Russia, here in the USA we have the freedom to call it whatever we want. lol
I’m arguing just to increase engagement
@@BrianMasters It's a flying boat! lol.

No, you are not!
(I am too lol)

Sailed out of St. Francis yacht club for forty years brought back many memories 😎
That’s a funny looking jeep
Cascade Flying Rescue Boat😎 Very interesting and thanks for sharing! No motion sickness would be awesome!😊 Nice family trip. Stay safe!
So cool u get to film your buddy and share such a great moment. U r both such personable guys too. Good luck to Navier.😊

That's very cool. Concept to production in less than 3 years for very complex machine.
These boats are amazing
Great that you made a great memory for your family.

Awesomeness, so happy for them!!!
Very very cool. Broke through a number of barriers with one unit! Thanks Casey
Next gen needs to have solar panels on top for recharging while traveling. Very cool. Thanks for sharing.
Solar panels wouldn't really do much with how much power something like that draws.
I think I’ve said this before- you are an acquired taste. Very seldom do I skip one of your videos any more.

Very cool flying boat
Congratulations Sam and Crew! 😂 Love the name “ Unplugged”, Brilliant 😁
"Flying" for sure!. However, the sound alone would drive me nuts.
It’s far quieter than any gas or diesel boat. The camera picked up that electrical noise really bad for some reason

I can envision Casey singing his version of "In the Navy"..
Flying squirrels kinda glide,
Glide boat sounds kool. ❤
Those boats are cool!
The tour out to Alcatraz was really interesting when I went on it many years ago.
I went in 2014 - loved it!!
What a cool rig!!
We were supposed to have electric flying cars by now according to the Jetsons
3:50 That is freaking incredible!!!
Thank you for the different content. It was fun to watch.
Hydrofoils operate on hydrodynamic lift principles, so they fly through the water.
Flying Boat confirmed.
I don’t want very many things I can’t afford but I gotta say I wish I could buy one of these. Great video!
Congrats to them ! And thanks to you I now really want one of these !
Santa Baby.. Put a Navier under the tree for me 😂 I can wish! What Fun!
I mean, it does say electric flying boat right on the side, so I'm good with flying boat.
CASEY AND YOUR FAMILY 👍
RILEY Didn't know what to think
Really Appreciate your Time and Videos
Those are sweet "FLYING BOATS " 😁😁😁
Those motors have a nice sound. 😊
I want an electric flying submarine 😎
Yes, that was a nice ride whit that kind of boat
2:42 technically, for an electric motor idle speed is max rpm with no torque on the output shaft.
That’s freakin’ awesome
😅I wonder if this is related to the candela we delivered to the Ann appolis boat show Tuesday.
Needs an onboard diesel generator 😂
Cool. Loving new technology.
Wow that nice crazy boat 🔥💪👌😉👍
Waited to finish work for this one. It did not disappoint. Well done!
Ok….that thing is pretty rad.
Cool shot holding the camera off the back at speed! Be cool to see what they could come up with for a small lake boat 12-16ft.
That's so awesome!
Trust Casey to find heavy machinery in the ocean 🤣
It's be really neat to see your business get one, it'd definitely expand your abilities for offroad recovery.
cool boats, cool company, good folks

that so is awesome
I remember being young and believing I knew everything and was always right too - even arguing the point until everyone stopped listening LOL!
Flying boat. Adding to the engagement states
says it on the hull “flying boat”
It seems to me that adding a sail could be a nice combination. Flying on the electrics with the sail down would get you in and out etc. On a very nice day for a lazy cruise, you could switch to sail
The boat does whatever it self identifies as doing and is whatever it self identifies as 😎
I live on the east coast and there is a lot of seaweed (in places) Just wondering how the hydrofoil handle weeds and debris ?
Crazy Cool!!

sooooo glad you got video of the dredge, was hopin to see it workin lol
Besides you never said that you were good at this! 👍🏽😊❤️🇺🇸
That is amazing job can’t wait to ride on one! Very cool 😎
No wake zone . You would need to create a wake till you get above the water, so you would need a running start somewhere…

Wow, I want one!
Great boat , one thing that has not been picked up on is the effect of currents on the boat . Now, as it is up out of the water, I guess not much .
That is a pretty cool boat. Thanks for the video
so cool
I think this is the first time I have ever seen caseys' porch
Great video!!
