Thank you very much! It was much easier to do it your way.

This is how to do it. Others keep the metal clamping strip in place on the refrigerator and press the gasket back into it. Do not try, a waste of time.
Take all the screws out, remove gasket and metal clamping strips. Place clamping strips into the new gasket. Pay attention to corners, it's a miter and close fit. Once new gasket is assembled with metal clamping strips, place back on door and replace screws.
    Nice job.

I just tried this method. I must say, a magnetic screw driver is a must, because I was losing screws all the time when I tried to replace them. I don't know if this way is better than the sub zero recommended way, because you still end up having to arrange the gasket under the metal for a lot of it. This is a tedious job regardless of which way you do it.

Yes, magnetic drill bit is a must. And electric drill as well. I tried subzero recommended way, it takes way longer and way harder to install it. If you insert metal frames properly into the gasket, and lift it carefully towards the fridge door, I must say it makes repair no more that 15 minutes at the most.

Thank you for sharing it. Where can I buy a genuine part for subzero?

The best place and only place Great Plains appliance parts. They sell OEM subzero parts and typically it’s the cheapest place to purchase parts.
