The Big Boy was scheduled to stop for 45 min in Big Sandy at around 1 pm but was delayed due to a freight train in front of it breaking down. So instead of it passing through Mineola around 2 to 2:15 pm, it was nearly 7 pm. It was on it's way to stop in Dallas for the evening. ( Short answer is it was severely behind schedule. ) 😂
