Hi all. I am a curly girl and have been studying all curly types especially ethnic curls. I'm thinking the fail and disappointment is more about the amount of product used. I've been learning that less is more when using the more expensive and luxury brands but we are so used to "junk" product that we think we have to use more than necessary. As I watched, the first thought was WHOA thats WAAAAYYYY too much product. Even the leave in amount was too much. I think the snow flakes happened bc the combo of leave-in and the amount of both together was just too much. And...some combos work better than others. I definitely feel the general frustration of the journey/trial and error to find what works for each individual curly headed person as it is never the same for one person to the next.

Yasss omg I thought I was the only one this was so upsetting because all the other products from the line are so good
I notice that not all products play well with other products. I used this product with other products and I snow flaked. When I used this product with other TGIN products, it worked like a charm. I live in Atlanta and the humidity is insane here and it was awesome....also...i air dried my hair.. but your video had me cracking up!! Your puff is too cute!!

Leeny Lynn you might like Uncle Funkys Daughter Curl Simulator Gel which has way better ingredients similar to almost Camille Rose.
I will revisit Uncle Funky's hair products. I had a very bad experience with them in the past, but I'm willing to try them out again. Thank you for sharing too!
Have you tried the mielle organics styling gel😍 its so moisterizing. but its a soft gel...so not sure how you would get on but i loooove it though ..great review 💕😁😁
I use the twist and define cream with the gel and it's bomb.
maybe humidity does have something to do with it. its winter here and i used this gel and my curls been popping for 7 days now
I sure don't like having to refresh a wash and go and this rainy season doesn't help. I was thinking about trying their butter cream or twist cream but looking at their ingredients along with the price, I don't think so. You should do this protective style challenge that I'm doing! You just do protective styles for a couple months to try and retain as much length and moisture as possible.
Have you tried using it to set a twist or braid out? I've bought this gel a while ago. I just haven't gotten around to using it yet, but I was only going to use it for braid outs or twist outs because I don't do wash n gos.

I love Tgin products but I have to say thnk you girl for saving me from getting it. Something told me to check the RUclips reviews first before I get it. I will stick to eco styler gels
I use it but then I put taliah wajiid over each section. I shingle it I've the tgin. It adds weight to it and it never flakes and mixes well.

I agree omg. I bought 2 from sallys an the other day I tried it. It was so frizzy the next day, so I used more. eco is way better an cheaper but I wanted something more natural. Camille rose is bomb too but very expensive. this will be going back today,yup...moving on to mielle organics gel. I hope that works. I wanted to love this seeing as though their entire line is wonderful. Can't win them all

I love TGIN products, but the gel does not work for me either, and I have 3c-4a- some 4b very fine hair. I tried it more than once, it just doesn't do anything for my hair. 😐

Leeny Lynn for future reference you can return opened hair products to Sally's and target if you arent pleased, Since you do a lot of reviews try to but things from those places bc you can return them. Just hang on to the receipt until you know you like the products
If you can't find the receipt and you used your debit card to purchase, then can find it in their system and return the money back to your card.

Trisha McKenzie I actually trashed a lot of my old hair care products from last year. I will say that my product stash is under 60 products to say the least. Lol! 😂 I honestly don't think Ima try the JBCO Gel too many natural hair youtubers ruin the experience of trying it out.

I'm sorry you didn't like the gel. My experience is so different. My hair texture is different (3C) and I live in New York where it's cold right now. I do co-wash twice a week. It's funny the way you said it. :-) I used too much TGIN leave in and buttercream, so I'm going to use the leave in by itself and gel only to see how that works. BTW, I never pay full price for products. I got 25% off.
I wish I would have watched your video before I purchased these products. I got that same snowflaking effect. I hate products that flake. I cant find my receipt for target so I may end up giving it away or trying to find a leave in that pairs well with it. If anyone finds a leave in that pairs well and doesnt cause flakes let me know.
K. Reid just take it back. if you used a card they can search the system. or no receipt you get store credit. I take everything back that doesn't work
Your hair is sooo pretty. You know The Mane Choice has a hair gel that will last in humid weather. Try it. You might like it. Just return that gel to Target. They will give you a full refund. Thanks for your tutorial...

mixed chics leave in conditioner is a great leave in conditioning treatment and styler in one it helps with humidity and frizz check out moknowshair review on it and she uses it on several different hair types

That gel is terrible my hair was on crunch all day and it shrunk my curls its worse than the cantu stuff but ttheir shampoo is nice especially with creme if nature conditioner had my hair soft n shiny til I used that gel
