      @paulortiz2035 Год назад

      I didn't think it was a complaint so much as their evaluation of 'was it worth the cost!' And they gave their opinion. Only 2 double suites would be an issue at holiday time! But this video is old, so I'm sure the airlines have fixed this issue by now!
      But since when is giving an opinion (to an unheard question) a complaint? They were obviously asked 'how is it?' and they gave Their answer! If you don't want to hear honest replies don't ask any questions! Some folks aren't impressed with 'oh, gee wow' fluff! Besides, they looked Very, Very tired. Being older people I had more interest in their evaluation than some 20 year old kid's opinion. (A guy still living with this mother, in a tiny room, in her attic! What real life experience does he have? About anything!??)
      Besides, the older couple actually paid cash money for their ride while the kid had a 'free' lift. (How many evaluation flights would he be offered if he did ever complain about a thing? Right! NONE!!! So he will never be anything other than--- VERY COMPLIMENTARY! As long as he says nice things he will be rewarded!)
      Sorry, but the money paying couple are the ones the airline needs to listen to AND satisfy! Not some kid, getting free rides, thus being paid to say nice things! The idea a 20 year old can be a travel/plane critic seems totally absurd, at best! Other than his 'free' flights what real traveling has he ever done? (Probably none!) Yet he--- can evaluate?
      Really? I mean, REALLY NOW!
      HOW ABSOLUTELY, TOTALLY, ABSURD, as he climbs into the galley cart locker to see how it fits!!! SILLY, dumb, and WHY would he do that??? AND checking to see how fast the toilet lid closed???
      BIZZARE! IMMATURE! AND JUST SO TOTALLY, TOTALLY POINTLESS!
      SA allowing this clown to do his 'evaluation' of their new plane doesn't say anything good about SA! Everything is of a high calibre and to a very high standard EXCEPT for the evaluators??!!! Hmmmm........!

      How was it?

    • @ksyvrbc
      @ksyvrbc Год назад

      @@oliverhrcm Firstly, thank you for your question. Well, I actually flew 4 different long haul segments between Sep-Oct 2022, wholly in Premium Economy. There was very little to differentiate this section from Business class except for the lie-flat beds. The seat pitch, width & foot rest in Premium Economy were comfortable in every aspect and very easy to fall asleep in. The unending food & beverage were just great too. When I noticed the meal services winding down & lights dimmed was when I introduced myself to the inflight supervisor and let him know I was a former employee. He was thrilled to make my acquaintance and we spent a long time chatting whenever he was able to. Within 3 weeks of these flights, I had to fly out again at very short notice on a similar routing, though this time I flew Qatar Airways (2 flights in Economy) onward and return by Singapore Airlines (2 flights in Business class). As you probably know, these are the 2 finest airlines in the world - so lucky me! QR segments were efficient and comfortable, while SQ Business class was as expected, simply stated they were Best in class!. Here again, when the inflight services had quietened down on the SQ segments, I introduced myself to cabin supervisor, who made the effort to stop by my seat to chat whenever she could. So a summary of my thoughts from having flown several comparable airlines in a mix of Coach & Business on EK, QR, SQ, CX, KL, LH, each of which make every effort to surpass each other, there is one key differentiator in my opinion: the people! Yes, thats right, the SQ employees I interacted with (even prior to introducing myself) were simply the most warmest, cheerful, helpful, humble, patient & highly professional - in short they stand out over the crew of aformentioned airlines. Kudos to the trainers and ofcourse the founders of the best airline in the world (Respect to Mr. JYP whom I had the honor & pleasure of meeting mid nineties in Bangalore, India). Just to be clear to anyone reading this, I'm a revenue passenger (fare paying passenger, not free tickets!) who will look for any opportunity to fly SQ whenever possible and take advantage of either Changi transit or Singapore stopover. SIA - Truly a great way to fly.

    I flew first class on Asiana from LAX to Incheon which had suites but they weren't quite as nice as what you get with Emirates or Singapore. What I did notice was that their ladies were spot on. Mine was quite attentive and paid very close attention to detail, often seeming to know what I needed or wanted before I asked. In the evening after dinner, I went to get a drink at the bar and when I returned, the bed had been made and the lighting was set for relaxation. I did really appreciate how the roof had a simulated starfield with a nice deep blue hue. I slept well and got in a full eight hours, just in time to wake up to breakfast and only two hours remaining to touchdown. I also liked the dual menu which offered both American and traditional Korean cuisine. I'm sure I had more than my fair share of bokchoi kimchi. I didn't feel that the luxury was enough for a pricetag of 15k round trip, but maybe the service made up for it.

    What would impress me the most is not all the fancy gadgets and the features or even the food (when you are so high up there, your taste buds won't taste anything anyway) but the quality of the service by the staff. When you are 25,000 feet in the air, that's what matters the most, the help given to me promptly when I needed it the most, being able to accommodate my special needs if I have any and basically being there making my experience the most enjoyable and pleasant one that I ever experienced. Even though I am not super rich but I am sure this is what the super-rich would be looking for when they are choosing airlines, the human touch that's getting more and more scarce by the day. So if these airlines want to compete for the wallet of the super-rich, I would strongly suggest that they invest in customer service instead of fancy gadgets like fast-rising toilets.

    Funny how rich people see such simple things as a "disaster". I guess being dramatic goes hand in hand with being rich and spoiled.🙄 I wonder what these people would do in the face of an actual disaster with no money and no help from their lowly servants?

    • @paulortiz2035
      @paulortiz2035 Год назад

      Maybe I watched a different video. I heard the disaster part was in matching the cost to what they recieved. And that there were but 2 double compartments!
      Perhaps they had a legitimate need for one, as in one helping the other with personal care or medical issues!
      Let's not be so quick to judge. If they thought they needed that, so be it. They know more about their situation than anyone watching this!
      And if I paid 15.000 whatever I'd want to fly with whomever I was flying with, too! And most likely so would everyone else!

    Like so much in the world, especially in the rarified atmosphere of the "super rich", it's the attention to even the most minor details which count... I will say that I am delighted to see that so many Airbus A380's are either being resuscitated or ordered new despite the higher operating costs, as a result of Boeings' disastrous 787 "Dreamliner" debacles. A classic case of when "cost-cutting" can ruin a companies' market share..!!

Has all characters write themselves - the old dinosaur CEO, the ally turned foe in senior leadership, the sidekick stewardess (Awkwafina? Now I’m casting for these roles too), the sidekick male flight attendant (gay, obviously), the six-pack hero who is completely dispensable eye candy, the older gentleman captain who turns out to be married (still working this out), the old grandmother trainer. @netflix where you at

    I flew a few times with Singapore Airlines, in the 1980s in economy. Their service was one of the best that I have seen. Extremely cheerful staff, good food. I see here the first-class passengers are treated with more stuff and that is money speaking, it is basically not the staff is seeing the economy any less. But these 1st class passengers have bought those extra service and luxuries. But what is amazing is they treat the economy passengers with dignity and respect. I wish the other airlines learned form them. I would recommend SA for to any one. My opinion is that the you tubers should not be given any more preference as people judge with word of mouth. Demanding or scared of what would they say is not the way to please any you-tuber as they are making their money anyways by doing their stuff as any reporters or news media. They pay they fly. I like to watch RUclips but some of them are begging to subscribe. Of course, you subscribe if you like it that much. All are business and high tech, I like high touch. All the best Singapore Airlines. Love you.

I said if I had to turn around and come back with out the rest of the holiday that would be fine . That the flight was so good I could count that as my holiday. The short flight I’m not worried weather it’s first class or not but the longer ones certainly make a difference. I’ve travelled around the world many times on business and use to commute weekly from Toronto to Manhattan.and take vacations a few times a year. I’m retired now and hardley ever fly I’m glad to have done it when I was younger. And quite happy to stay at home now. But if I do travel first class is the only way to go.
