Love this song, and I agree, I was born at the right time! Got to experience the Beatles, and all the British invasion. Wouldn't trade it for anything!
Brilliant tune, brilliant lyrics and most of all brilliantly sung and played ... I never tire of this song It will live forever . Thanks Billy and all ..
Stood beside Billy in a bar in Whitley Bay and discussed this song as he wrote the lyrics. He wasn’t in the original band but has been somewhere in the background the whole time. After Alan Hull died he took over vocals. A very talented man.
Lindisfarne toured the US when this CD was new. The band stayed with us when they played at Godfrey Daniels (Bethlehem, PA), and were some of the most fun guests we've had. In addition, this song made me actually look forward to getting into my Sixties! And now that I'm pushing 70, I'm going to start singing this again! :-D
I saw them doing this live about 15 years ago in Keswick,Cumbria. As soon as they struck the first few chords of the first set I realised I was in the company of greatness. My best concert ever.
Seriously, what a great great song, and perfectly delivered. It goes through my mind at work when people ask why I don't want the radio on I tell them I'm listening to my own music. No headphones. Brill.

One of their best tracks....
such magnificent senior citizens!
I'm Korean who likes prog rock and folk rock in 70s. It's funny that I have the same good feeling with the olders' favoitrs in Britain.

Fabulous as ever. There's a younger Marty Craggs there. His Happy Cats were tremendous, too!
As a north easterner Alan hull was typical of many men at the time who would say I’m not doing that then you convinced them to do it and they loved it
Me I'm kickin' into my prime cause I was born at the right time!
Somewhere in the darkest corner of my loft is a VHS tape with the full original programme recorded on it, just wish I still had a VHS player.
