Sridevi Nrithyalaya's 'BRAHMASMI' explores the state of Brahman through the mediums of dance and drama.
Following the statements from our Vedas and Upanishads ,including the Bruhadhaaranyaka Upanishad and Mundakopanishad, Sridevi
Nrithyalaya's latest production, BRAHMASMI delves into a journey that touches upon Bhagavad Geetha, Brahma Soothra, Sankaraacharya's Aathma Bhodham and many more.
The non-dual aspect of our soul and the Brahman is as ancient as our Sanaathana Dharma with Sri Dakshinaamoorthy as the Aadhi Guru, preaching the Supreme Truth. Sridevi Nrithyalaya's BRAHMASMI is presented as an easy guide to learn and understand about Aatman and Brahman and the relationship between both. Aadhi Sankara's Shanmatham and Yoga Vasishtam are also incorporated in the production to emphasise the subject.
The lyrics for this production has been penned by Sri Padmadevan , making this highly philosophical subject easy to understand and internalise. Music has been composed by the violin maestro Embar Sri Kannan, whose composition has added a vibrant flavour to the production, making it appealing to all types of audience. Dance Choreography has been done by Smt. Sheela Unnikrishnan and the dance drama will be performed by 11 of her disciples.

Since SDN is run by SRIDEVI NRITHYALAYA TRUST, all the productions of SDN, be it music or dance, become intellectual property of the Trust. Sridevi Nrithyalaya Trust (SDNT) owns all the productions and will not allow anyone to download or use SDN videos/audios, even it is meant to be for non-commercial purpose.
Our social media team, assisted with a legal team, watchfully works in curbing audios/videos of Sridevi Nrithyalaya that have been used in unauthorized way and uploaded in social media. Though we do not put up copyright declarations in all our videos, we strictly adhere to legal formalities and procedures regarding copyrights.
We honestly work hard and spend a good time and amount of our resources to produce our music and dance videos. They are produced and uploaded in our social platforms solely to take our art to all those raiskas around the globe who are unable to reach us in person to enjoy SDN's art live.
It is not about 'misuse' or 'trying to support' our dance and audio productions by just giving credits. Art is for all for sure. Our productions uploaded in social platforms are for the art lovers worldwide to WATCH and ENJOY but definitely not for copying or reproducing without SDNT's authorisation.

What an honor to dance in Kalady the birth place of aadhi shankarar! The Kool kidz and the octet always unbelievable! But the only sad part is that bhairavi is missing.. always a fond of the famous duo harinie and bhairavi.. really hoping to see her in the next program

Really the performance of the dance drama was so wonderful..Beautiful concepts of bramhasmi displayed by beautiful people...all of the dancers were so fluid and graceful with thier movements..but it would be much nicer if bhairavi ma'am was also there..i missed her🙃...I must agree this is one of the best SDN dance dramas...I couldn't even wink my eyes for a sec ... ur performances are like magic and I'm really spellbound! Awesome and beautiful as always
India is blessed with dancers like these girls harinie, kameshwari, sanjeena, rajadarshini, mridula, Mrinalini, bhairavi and all little kids( now they're not)!!!

Nice choreography,lighting and overall presentation. That middle portion dance by mind,desire elements was really nice elegantly done by the dancers. I think the vocals are by Keerthana and Madhu Balakrishnan ? Music was very nice but just wondered how would the audience receive the tamil lyrics though not a big issue. kudos to all involved.

We appreciate your observation. Infact, Smt. Sheela had the entire narration part, which was in Thamizh, translated in Malayalam so that the audience can connect with the theme of our presentation. It was very well received and many came to us with positive feedback about it.
