You notice pretty quickly that it's upside down, because the very common letters A and E are at the top of the row. There aren't any letters at only the bottom. For instance, hello read upside down looks like 4/9 (unused symbol?) th th enough period; not exactly a legible word.
I dont think blindness causes people to be unable to understand the laws! Take thieves to jail regardless of sightedness! Blind people might be visually impaired but they aren't mentally impaired!
Not a lot of people can cope and stay positive when blind like our friend Tommy, also I meant more along the lines of mentally unprepared for the situation he was in.

very new. this was first vid i watched from this channel and was tired and wasnt thinking. kinda realised my error 5 vids later, but hey, isnt this the point of this channel? enlightening the sighted to the blind experience?

Really love the sense of humour that I think is more than worthy of a stand-up special!
What a great guy and a fellow music nerd. He’s 1000% relatable. This type of thing can really open up the world and humanity to each other. It can be easy to think of others who are “different” than you as being *really* different, but once you get to know someone, that’s usually not the case.
8-Track never really took off in the UK, but it's a fascinating format. I had a reel-to-reel tape recorder when I was a kid (1980s) that a neighbour gave me because they knew I was into electronics, it was old enough to run on valves but barely worked. Anyway, another neighbour a few doors down was an electrician who liked to tinker so I went knocking on his door and asked if he would mind helping me look at it. We got that thing running good as new, and he also introduced me to Ham radio. Awesome guy, sadly no longer with us as he passed away some years ago.
Haha great video Tommy. I feel like a lot of us got caught shoplifting at some point in our childhood. As always love the humor you put into these videos. Take care.
I have that same Simon and Garfunkel 8-track in a box around here somewhere. I don't have an 8-track player so it would be hard to play it, but I do have an old reel-to-reel. You can open up those old 8-tracks and wind the tape onto a reel and play them. Back in the day, my dad had an 8-track player in the front room. My brother and I would play spaceship in the front room and use the 8-track player as a key component in the space ship controls. We would blast off to Elvis Presley. Those were the days.
Very impressed at the 8 track collection and the fact that you have a reel to reel tape player. Those are awesome! Kinda miss playing them both with all the "hissy" stereo.
Some people still collect 8-tracks. I still have all my old vinyl records, I love them! Some of them it's impossible to get on CD. I have a reel to reel also!
When I was about 7, at the dollar store I took this little transparent 3D heart to give to my mom, but then I told her I just took it since my dad didn't wanna buy it, and she told me that's stealing so we went back & I returned it. Does that count as stealing lol
My first eight track cassette was a Chicago album I bought for a nickle from a second-hand store. Then I had to buy a second-hand eight track player so that I could listen to it. The memories!
The moment you lifted the Simon and Garfunkel Greatest Hits up, I knew what it was. We had that in my mom's car. That's the only 8 track I can ever remember.
I remember 8-track tapes! I didn't realize they were made so people could listen to their music in the car, I had not thought of them that way. It makes sense considering that there were only records and open reel to reel tape.
Haha!! That's a great story Tommy! I did something like that as a kid, but I meant to steal it, it was a pack of gum! LOL My parents found out I stole it, and made me return it to the store and apologize to them for stealing it. I was SOO upset about it, and I cried for a long time because I felt horrible for doing it, AND for getting caught! I was 8 or 9 at that time. 😁
The reason they're called 8-tracks is because for each of the 4 programs, 2 tracks are used for each audio channel, ie the left and right speaker. So all 8-tracks will be in stereo sound. Which is part of what gave them superior quality sound.
