Ngl, there's gonna be A LOT of experimentation on this channel soon. So hope you guys stick for the ride 😅
I am perhaps TOO excited
So excited to see what's to come
NGL... I reduced playback speed ... It was disturbing 😮 😂
@@SnarkNSass Eh...Not fun😅
the ben 10 video was great and i love hearing you explain topics
I love the sheer scope of the topics the enchiridion covers, from the nature of the cosmos to 'how to kiss princesses'.
The benefits of an all knowing book 😅
It's like the internet but in book form
@@Matikal-nu8wd major difference is that it is all true
@Axis Mic Well, if it contains all knowledge, that also means it contains all lies as well. Yes, I'm a pedantic nerd what's your point XD
@@Dmgladiator2642 you true to be a nerd but the problem you didn't talk into account is that the book has never been able to lie or give fake info don't you think it would give that to the litch if it could
If the knowledge inside the Einchiridion can update itself, then it stands to reason the sockets can update themselves as well to make use of the most powerful gems available.
That a good point 🤔
@@TrueLocalEnthusiast Whats the intro movie name? Btw i just subbed :)
If this theory is correct, wouldn't the book have accepted the Lumpy space star gem?
@@youplayzz7922 It wasn't powerful
@@youplayzz7922 Lumpy Space Princess is an anti-elemental. So her gem does probably not mix well with the other gems.
It’s pretty funny to think about how such a powerful artifact is given to Finn and Jake so early in the series and they don’t seem to ever gain anything beneficial from it(at least from what I remember, it’s been a while since I watch the show so I could be wrong)
They learn about alot with it tho I can't remember off the tip of my head . Goblin tear episode started off with finn having read the book to find it that much I do remember
@@jonathankuruppu8630 So there were things they learned from the book. I guess I was expecting something more like magic spell and/or in-depth information on either curses, magical creatures or artifacts
Since they were mostly interested in being heroes during their time with the Enchiridion, they were mostly shown how to be the best heroes they could be. Occasionally that would mean offering them pertinent information on how to save the world, deus ex machina style, but mostly it would just involve cool tips and tricks on how to improve your hero game.
@@IronianKnight That make sense. Though it’s still funny to think about how despite having something so powerful so early on, Finn and Jake never though to use it on serious situation( I would’ve use that thing the moment I have to deal with the Litch) but maybe they just didn’t consider it ‘cause like you said, they only care about how to be great heroes at the time which is fair.
@@ultrainstinctvegito4063 to be completely fair, the enchiridion is basically just a plot hole in on itself. its an artifact that possesses information on literally everything, and gives you the exact information youre looking for under the condition it isnt withholding said information out of spite. if finn and jake consulted it for every tough situation, they wouldnt actually _learn_ how to be full fledged heroes if they were always told the solution. the biggest thing about being a hero is the experience and wisdom you gain as you face hardships on your journey. the writers had to purposely ignore the enchiridion because they knew it would completely trivialize any situation if finn and jake actually used it to its fullest potential.
I already knew that the Enchiridion had tons of crazy knowledge, but the fact that it's sentient and continues to update itself? My perspective of that book has completely changed. If someone could ever utilize the book to its full potential they might as well become god-like.
And Finn used it as a chair...
What if it's a type of Primordial creation. The Lich makes it's undead, it's well, and and Mushroom Bomb. Another used magic, made some followers to make magic and take it for itself. Gob itself made the Primordials. So maybe there's a knowledge Primordial that knew it was going to die because it would know how to kill the others, and knew it would be taken out, so it made the Enchiridion in order to help anything out in the future to do anything. The book being sentient, would update itself in a way that would allow us reader to easily understand it, but it knows it can also be destroyed if used by the wrong reader. And then you get Finn who uses it as a chair and gives it to a bear
4:16 something relatively small but worth considering imo, is that the gems themselves could have existed before Magwood. They eventually act as eyes for Ice Thing after all, so just because Evergreen calls them "Magwood's eyes" doesn't necessarily mean that's where they came from.
Who's to say these gems don't bring about this sort of thing by nature? The crown is an example of one particularly elaborate chain of events, but in Magwood's case could be something as simple as the gems being thrown into a volcano and giving the magma life.
Hmm that's a good point 🤔
Like dark souls centipede demon style
I was just wondering about the enchirdion, I think it's really weird that the ice crown gem, and generally just a bunch of random gems, are instrumental in unlocking prismo's room. I'd be curious to know if there's some mad pattern that could be seen, of course taking into account the fact that the icre crown gems would actually be associated with lava or just pure wish magic. The three elemental gems (unrelated note, why isn't there a true ice elemental gem? Even if the ice elemental wasn't around to form a kingdom, I would expect that gem to be floating around considering all the others still existed in farmworld. Why did betty only need the three for the reversal spell in elemental? Are there only the three? And another thing why did the icecrown work eith lumpy space princess?? Is it an ice elemental gem? It certainly isn't after the cown grts reset in come along with me, before gunter rewishes for something similar making it icy again, so there must be one other than it, or else before evergreen there would be no ice elemental gem. Whatever I'm getting carried away) those all make enough sense, since they are instrumental to the structure of nature? The universe? Idk if the elements are strictly building blocks of life or whatever in ooo, or if they're fundamental to the mechanisms behind the entire universe. Either way, they've got some bizz about being more important than for example hotdog princess whose gem they needed. Like why the heck did they need embryo pri cess's gem to open prismo's room??
Well could simply be that the Enchiridian is very much like the Tardis, an object that technically exists outside of time....
It likely updates its sockets to use the most powerful gems available at the time instead of requiring the same specific ones in every universe. For example, if the ice king's gem was destroyed the next best thing would be used instead
It would be cool if we got a irl Enchiridion book with all kinds of Adventure Time lore in it simulator to the irl Journal number 3 and Marcy's Journal you can buy
Definitely wish that the one we got was longer but it's decent 😅
You forgot to mention that every 10,000 years, the Enchiridion transports its user to the Time room, so that they can decide whether to continue the multiverse or not, if I remember correctly. Great video, it would be great if you made videos of your own theories and speculations, whether it's about Adventure Time or anything else :DD
WHAT DID I MISS? WHERE IS THIS FROM?!
@@TrueLocalEnthusiast i wanna know too,sounds interesting AF
Wait what
@@TrueLocalEnthusiast Chapter 7 of the physical Enchiridion release, I believe.
So the lich could have stolen the book and disappeared for 10,000 years and he would have destroyed the multiverse
You didn’t mention the biggest reason I requested this video, which was the secret behind the fact that The Enchiridion wasn’t actually a book originally. It was some unknowable Cosmic Being that managed to achieve absolute MASTERY over the Cosmic Imagination ITSELF!!! It turned itself into a book through reasons unknown and keeps that form regardless of what happens to it apparently. This is mentioned in the [Enchiridion & Marcy’s secret Scrapbook] where we learn that the Enchiridion wasn’t always a book. Hence it’s Title as:
The-Book-That-Is-Not-A-Book
Maybe a video on the human colonies and Susan next? Would be cool
Definitely plan to
Yah!!
These videos are very eye opening. I've been a fan of adventure time since it came out, and I thought that I knew pretty much all of the little lore tidbits there were to know, but in almost every one of you videos there is something new to learn about. The video quality is great, very concise and to the point, which I appreciate
Thanks man 😊
I want the video quality to improve further and I'm happy I'm getting some people to enjoy the lore of AT just a little more!
These Adventure Time videos are great, love your stuff man
Thanks man 😊
How do you know that the enchiridion has all of knowledge and constantly updates itself? Do they say it in the show? Awesome video btw, love your stuff!
It was shown to continuously update itself on two things. One when Jake told the map to enhance in which it began monitoring Jake in real time.
Secondly, it describes things that either happened before it's creation and events that happened when it had no author. More info is on the official book you can read. There's a pdf on the Internet Archive if you're interested 👍
@@TrueLocalEnthusiast thanks man! Ill check it out
I’m starting to think it’s a good thing that Finn didn’t give it or it’s information to Princess bubblegum
Man if she got her hands on it 😅
I guess if PB had it...she functionally is omniscient lol
You know, now that i think about it, finn giving it just like that to the bear was literally the stupidest thing someone has ever done in adventure time
OMG his negligence directly resulted in Billy getting killed and everyone in the multiverse dying 😤
Tbf they bear was send after him by lich specificaly to get the book.Appearantly lich knew how to manipulate finn and used it to it's fullest
I has just waiting for an explanation on the Enchiridion and here it is.
The Enchiridion is surely a very interesting artefact I would like to hear more about it due to the fact that it have so much hidden potential. It is a very mysterious artefact that as you said gives you a map of the entire multiverse which only that is an indicator that some cosmic entity created it and sins Billy is required to utilise its full power he obviously have some personal connection to it.
The enchiridion is basically the primordial and embodiment of adventure time lore
i think some "Top 10" videos might do really well for a little longer of a list. Like Top 10 dark magic users, Top 5 heros , top 5 adventuretime foods. Top 5 princesses, top 5pb inventions, something you could do if you're between ideas.
Hey, would you do a video talking about how the fight against the Barn changed Finn and Jake's relationship? I have noticed throughout re-watch how their dynamic changes after that episode
Could be fun, maybe 🤔
I feel like there could be another video on it since I feel like there is a lot to talk about. Also Finn really miss used it like using it to sit on the wet grass. I wonder if the book would let people add to it so there could be info from there perspectives also can the book ever come back in anyway if broken.
Unrelated but could prismo let you meet the cosmic imagination?
Pretty impressive for a handbook.
Fr
just wondering what other powers the enchiridon could have like we see dimensional travel but what about enhancing magic
Theoretically, it could grant ANY power under the right circumstances 😅
Vids are short sweet and to the point. Perfectly concise quality.
Thanks 😊
Can you do a video on which sword that finn has was the best one and which one is the most powerful in your opinion
Already did a short video on this subject, but in terms of in depth, I'll probably do it eventually
will you be talking about the future of ooo? like why the sky is grey and dull compared to 1000 years before
Maybe one day 😅
Crazy to see this being posted just after I get an itch for Adventure Time lore. Thanks!
Np 👍
there was this theory that the world of adventure time doesn't actually exists, kinda like how in the Cthulhu mythos the world is a dream of an outer god. if this is true, then my theory is that the Enchiridion is the book that tells the story of adventure time - this is why it has all the answers to everything, it give the information about the world it tells the story of.
That actually is how the adventure time universe works as it's all dreamt up by the cosmic imagination as for enchiridion that would make it even cooler
@@TrueLocalEnthusiast it would also explain why the book exists both within and without the world. It's not affected by time cause the book is omnipresent and above the rule of the world.
Now the comics are already pretty good, but I think the comic series would be amazing if the comics were canon or showed secrets and answers from the show that couldn't be aired. Like the primordial war, the lich vs billy fight, or personally i would've liked to actually see how the mother gum was formed and the crazy events that happened during the mushroom apolocalypse.
Can you please analyse the physical Enchiridion and Marcy's super secret scrap book, it's is a real book you can purchase.
The Enchiridion, if being able to be found in any version and timeline of the multiverse, then it stands to reason _it has always existed_ and most importantly, _it cannot be permanently destroyed._
I think it potentially holds the entire history of reality from its beginning until the end of time. The trick tho, would be able to witness or hold any ammount of knowledge in order to act as a topic keyfinder so the information can materialize in its otherwise blank pages when browsing it. And even if destroyed, it most likely rematerializes in a hidden enough location so as to not be found until everyone has forgotten its existence, allowing its ethereal substance rematerialize and be found again.
I love your vids man best adventure time youtuber.
Thanks man 😊
We got a ways to go though before we reach the top 😁
I just realised Finn facing The Grim Reaper right before getting the Enchiridion is literally foreshadowing his fight with The Lich.
👁️👄👁️
Out of all the things they could've tied in with this, I love that it was billy. I think its good writing also because of how much it leaves for speculation.
It's like the Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, but even more powerful
thanks for the vid! i don't think people talk enough about the enchiridion (at least on yt) so this was nice
No problem, was fun to make though I wish I had made it longer 😅
Something i always found interesting was that the farmworld dimensiion has a different version of the book, tho now i've realized it might just be because it's an alternate reality or so, still find interesting the change of the cover
I find it hard to say it’s more powerful than the crown for a few reasons; one could just use the crown to wish for the book, the book needs the gem from the crown as you said, the crown was able to be used to fuse with golb.
I don’t think that any one of these things makes the crown more powerful, but all 3 combined with the sheer lack of information the show has on the book makes me truly believe the crown is indeed more powerful.
Not knocking the crown, but the book has the knowledge of how to make something like the crown.
The gems of power are only needed for specific rituals as there's other things the book still provides.
Considering it also provides secret insights into the literal functionality of the cosmos you could theoretically do anything.
The crown on the other hand is still incredibly limited and though it uses the gems as a power source that says more so about the gems than the crown itself.
@@TrueLocalEnthusiast ok ok ok, those are some very solid arguments, I could agree that the book is more powerful, its just way more difficult to utilize that power than the crown yeah?
Big ups once again for the content my guy.
Thanks man. But I feel dissatisfied with my content lately. IT NEEDS TO BE BETTER!
Speculation video idea. What if Simon found and studied the enchiridion instead of the crown
Huh, he'd probably try to figure out how to harness some Dank Energy...
The Enchiridion is always cookin
If the Enchiridion knows everything, does it know who asked?
Dear God...
i think you should elaborate further on muck time itself there are 3 times i know for sure it was shown off in the show and for a while i believed that the universe was on an infinite loop but for example betty traveling in time when simon opens the portal when prismo revived himself using a "non-existent" jake and the last i cant remember but the way time works in that universe is amazing
"May your heart be your guiding key."🗝
can you do a video about the finn sword?
Eventually 👌
Enchiridion is basicly a Google with emotions in a book
🤣
Could you do a video on sweet pea he has the potential of the lich and was trained by the finn and in the future he at-least seems to become a big hero with finns sword
I definitely plan to cover him eventually 😁
Had this question in the back of my mind for a while now and I think here's as good a time as any to ask it: where exactly do you get the information for your videos from? Not challenging you or accusing you of anything, just genuinely curious. I went over the Enchiridion's wiki page and couldn't find anything about it containing "information on every possible subject," just the standard hero instruction manual and multiverse stuff. I really like the image you painted of the book and its abilities, I just wanna know where it comes from.
Great question! Also please do challenge me as I'm only human and I make mistakes sometimes too.
But I get my info on my subjects through 3 things. The first is the most obvious which is episodes. In The Lich it's displayed that it has the ability to not only track everything within the multiverse but also catalogs it. The second source is through the enchiridion itself.
The enchiridion was released as an official book that we can read. This gave a bunch of info to work with and it describes events that happened before it could've possibly been created and topics that no other normal being could have been aware of.
3rd is speculation, though I always make it clear when I reference a theory to ensure no one looks at it as fact(Yes it still happens sometimes) anyway hope this helps 👍
I just realized how much mental fortitude Simon has considering farm world fin was taken over by the crown almsot instantly
The enchiridion is super cool, no lie I'd probably end up wasting away reading it just to obtain ever greater knowledge.
Nah I'd get the magic then I'd be cool...
@@TrueLocalEnthusiast I wonder if it can even teach a way to help avoid the negatives of magic like how cosmic beings don't suffer from it
@@parkersmith8711 the negatives effects are a consequence of all magic on Earth being derived from Kokontepi, maybe you can learn some untainted form of magic
When using the spell to get inside prismo's room it utilized gemstones from the crowns of royalty of ooo
I forgot that this was a thing and assumed that all of them just copied bubblegum
But what do you think of the significance of the crown bearers?
Like it wasn't all of them there's like 9 or 10 that was needed
And there's also that spell betty used in elementals that uses the gems of the elementals' crowns
I need to make a video on the gems of power eventually 🤔
So wait is the Enchiridion sentient? I mean it pretty much updates itself
It is and it can hold grudges
@@TrueLocalEnthusiast that’s honestly kinda scary like imagine you have to use it to save someone or yourself and it decides it won’t show you that information
@@hattoripool1533 Yeah that would be really messed up 😂
@@hattoripool1533 it holds grudges based on how you treat it. gotta remember that this sentient book is LITERALLY the most powerful artifact in the multiverse as it expressively contains infinite knowledge because its always self-updating. if it holds a grudge against you and chooses to withhold information out of spite, its deserved.
Basically this is just the Adventure Time updated version of the Necronomicon.
That or The Book Of Vile Darkness 😅
Your production schedule is impressive.
I respect you.🙏🏿 Keep shining!🙏🏿
Thanks man 😊
It can be a bit much at times but it's definitely fun and I'll try!
Imagine seeing a chef using the enchiridion as a cook book
0:34
and lets not forget that right next to that page is the very crucial and fundamentally important knowledge on "How To Kiss a Princess"
It's so funny that the first thing the enchiridion decided to show Finn was basically "listen dude you gotta step up your game first".
Could you cover Matthew? It'd be really interesting to hear your thoughts and takes on the guy since his whole goal and ideology has a lot of implications to his power should he have not been killed by Lemongrab
Your vidoes really change the way i see adventure. Made me realize how mature and complex the storytelly is despite the child like presentation.
All hail the lich
I swear he's linked with EVERY subject I talk about 😅
@@TrueLocalEnthusiast yes you are
You said that the Enchiridion could self update itself
So what if it could change and update its cover to gate keep its true powers
Like, to get the enchiridion, you need to be a hero, and billy is know to be the hero-est of heroes, so the book self updated to only allow him or his choosen ones to achieve its true powers
Ah yes, the book of KNOWLEDGE
If you got the book what would be the first thing you'd flip to?
@@TrueLocalEnthusiast Honestly, all forms of mortal crafts. i want to be a clay living, samurai sword wielding, molitov throwing, bazooka shooting man
@@TrueLocalEnthusiast how to get all the power in existence
Its wild (but not really) that the OC mentioned the past, present and future all happening at the same time.
I was watching something just last night and that same concept was brought up. And its not the first time I've heard that.
What I dont understand is why the knowledge in the book is not used as frequently in the show and why the bad guys don't just try to steal that to take over the world and get their desires since it tells you HOW to do that?!
How about a philosophical/stoic take on this, Finn is a young boy trying to find himself. Do right by himself and others. The Enchiridion was written by Arrian the student of Epictuts, one of the ancient stoics. Could there be a deeper meaning here? Learning from that book on how to treat others while learning how to live your own life? Could that be what the creators meant to portray? Just a thought
Wild theory me and a group of friends had, the yellow catalyst comic was the Einchiridion.
had no idea any of that enchiridion lore existed
Yeah there's literally no videos on the subject 😅

So… it’s some kind of Elder Scroll? Or a bound collection of Elder Scrolls? Neat.
Don’t know how you stumbled upon my algorithm barley now but been watching all your videos 😤
From watch the show I alway thought it was possible that BIllyis part of the book. In the sense that they are linked. Either in simbious or that they are two halfs of the same coin. Hence why the lich wants Bill. With him dead his power is up for grabs
It's definitely possible but he specifically kidnapped him or possesses him to utilize his power in this case.
I have another Adventure Time what if for you. What If Finn never came to Ooo. What do I mean by this, well, Finn is raised in Founder's Island with his parents and the incident with the old lady and her bodyguard where they attacked Martin's house never happened and Martin and Finn were still in their house playing. Because of Finn never coming to Ooo, what would the lives of Jake would be if Finn never came to Ooo. Would he still be a criminal. Second, what would the lives of Ooo's resident would be if Finn never came to Ooo.
That's a good what if 🤔
A idea I had for video you can make is about the character of Percy Del Rollo from vox Machina but if your looking for another adventure time video I would recommend doing one on IcE kings crown 👑 as think both would be pretty fun videos for you to do.
I'll give Percy a looksy as for the crown I might cover it eventually.
What about the smart glasses? To a certain degree, it can predict the future and cause events.
1:59 me: freedom-CHIM-mantling-breaking free from the eternal dream- and finally manifesting your own physical form for real.
[Smash cut] the original dreamer is just the ice Queen trying to get us to manifest ourselves and running infinite dimension just to come up with that singular answer.
For me theres allways that one thing that forget, pay no mind to, and dont see the value in it. Until you look back at it to see just how powerfull that one thing actualy is
and one of those to me is this damm book
Sounds like it could give the Junior Woodchuck's Guidebook a run for its money. _(a-whoo-OO!)_
1:58 I’m gonna have to disagree with you on that one. I feel like a lot of the time it’s shown it deliberately avoids giving useful information. For example the better passage to show farm world fin would have been one on the lichs weaknesses and how to remove it from a mortal, instead it gave him a very complex spell that got him one step closer to getting what he wanted. Regular fin got “how to kiss princesses” when a better one would have been “guide to deepening friendship with princesses”. I think it’s part of what makes the enchiridion so seemingly inconsequential, when you look into it you get what at first glance seems like useful information, but what is on closer inspection the guide to the longest and least efficient means of getting what you want that is possible. For Betty the best way to help Simon would have been a method of borrowing or stealing a bit of Golbs power to digest the crowns influence away from Simon. Or something that mimicked that undoing reality effect, instead she got a complex and ultimately useless time travel spell.
TLDR: the book seems to give you what you want, but it’s being deliberately unhelpful
So basically our TrueLocalWeirdo wants to get this book so bad now
YES!
I want that book
Great video 🔝👍
