On a Surprise Visit, 18 beauty Pageant One Title "Miss Angola 2019".
The 20-year-old student Salett Miguel, representative of the province of Kwanza Sul, was elected Sunday morning in Luanda, Miss Angola 2019, in a gala attended by 18 candidates. Salett Miguel, a sophomore in political science, is the successor to Ana Avião and won the right to represent the country in the Miss Universe competition. For the first maid of honor, the jury elected Miss Benguela, Paula Ngaça, 19. Nilda Songo, 19, from Malanje Province, became second lady, as well as snatched the title of Miss Sympathy. Doniva Vicente, from Cabinda, took the Miss photogenic trophy and Ludmila Pelivavala, from Cunene, with the award for best typical costume. At a brief press conference, elected Miss Angola 2019, Salett Miguel, thanked the family for their support and pledged to work on combating parenting as one of the factors contributing to the citizens' loss of civic and patriotic values. "The lack of accompaniment of children is detrimental to growth and character formation and often causes the disruption of families, affecting the behavior of members and their position in society," he stressed. In a night of glamor and refinement, in which the central theme was entrepreneurship, the 18 candidates paraded, in full dress to the tunes of André Mingas, performed by Toty Samed. The 23rd edition of Miss Angola Contest featured musical animations by Yannick Afroman, Yola Semedo, Rui Orlando and Cláudio Fenix.
