Ten years after Mamma Mia! The Movie grossed more than $600 million around the world, you are invited to return to the magical Greek island of Kalokairi in an all-new original musical based on the songs of ABBA. With the film’s original cast returning and new additions including Lily James (Cinderella, Baby Driver), the musical comedy will open on July 20, 2018.
Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is produced by Judy Craymer and Gary Goetzman, producers of the original film. Craymer is also the creator and producer of the worldwide smash-hit stage musical.
Ol Parker, writer of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, writes and directs the sequel from a story by Catherine Johnson, Richard Curtis and Parker. Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus return to provide music and lyrics and serve as executive producers. Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Phyllida Lloyd, Richard Curtis and Nicky Kentish Barnes also serve as executive producers.
Reprising their roles from Mamma Mia! The Movie are Academy Award® winner Meryl Streep as Donna, Julie Walters as Rosie and Christine Baranski as Tanya. Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper reunite as Sophie and Sky, while Pierce Brosnan, Stellan Skarsgård and Oscar® winner Colin Firth return to play Sophie’s three possible dads: Sam, Bill and Harry.
As the film goes back and forth in time to show how relationships forged in the past resonate in the present, James will play the role of Young Donna. Filling the roles of Young Rosie and Young Tanya are Alexa Davies (A Brilliant Young Mind) and Jessica Keenan Wynn (Broadway’s Beautiful). Young Sam will be played by Jeremy Irvine (War Horse), while Young Bill is Josh Dylan (Allied) and Young Harry is Hugh Skinner (Kill Your Friends).

Everyone in the comment section talking about Cher and how amazing she is (which she IS! I adored her in the movie), but can we just appreciate Andy freaking Gracía for a sec? I mean he’s so good in the movie and in this particular song! Just think about it, he the non singer had is singing a duet with the great Cher and his soft baritone can still be heard complimenting hers, I mean that’s true talent! I was very pleasantly surprised about him.

Went to see Mamma Mia last night.Fabulous.loved every minute.I was a teenager in the 70's and Abba was our backdrop music.I just couldn't believe I was the only person singing.Three young girls left early, maybe because I was singing!.My son's loved it.Best seen on big screen I think.Cher was my highlight.She is amazing.💗

This woman is ageless in terms of vocal range. She rocks! And her plastic surgery makes her look gorgeous and youthful. Some celeberties should ask her who her plastic surgeon is so that they can look as natural as she does.

+ TY-BELL 17 - Thanks for the chuckle. I really needed it today. Cher's many cosmetic surgery operations seem to have "settled". The work she had done on her face made her look "strange" for a period of time, because when an operation is first done to the face, it is too "tight and pulled". Cher's surgeries are finally relaxing and making her look more natural. I still marvel at the vocal range she has at her age. Most singers lose octaves as they age and have to adjust their songs to reflect that fact. Cher hasn't. A good example would be Elton John. This incredible icons vocal range has become more limited due to his aging and its affect on the voice, so he has had to alter the octaves of many of his past hit songs. This could also explain why he changed his song style to ballads towards the end of his career. You can get by with more limited vocal range with ballads. But again his brilliance was obvious. Some of his ballads are some o the most touching songs I have ever heard ("The One, "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" etc.) He also mixed some ballads in while still at the peak of his powers, such as "Daniel", and "Candle in the Wind" which is one of the most beautiful songs ever written, with incredible lyrics that kind of choke me up when I sit down and really listen to them. I would pay a tremendous amount of $ to see him perform, because even when not at it's best, his voice is still better than 90% of the singers out there. He is, by far, my favorite male singer of all-time. Sorry for babbling!

Cher has been a Hollywood icon since she and Sonny came to LA in 1962 to make it big. By 1965 they were #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. What it truly amazing is her Fernando is getting AC Airplay. She entered the Billboard AC Chart at #22 with Fernando and at age 72 for a woman virtually impossible. Not for Cher!
I have a bitter sweet relationship with this film. Firstly, Cher is my idol. The music and cinematography in this movie is stunning. However, it was playing on the tv when I tried to take my own life. And the memory of it is permanently associated with that tragic moment in my life.
