I love this video, and much as the music/singing really is the complete star of this scene, I can’t help adoring in almost the same level Andy Garcia’s perfect body language as Cher sings the words “almost made me cry.” He just closes his eyes sadly and lifts his hands with a half-shrug, as if to say, “Yes it was terrible.” It’s just this gesture of shared sorrow acknowledged, that will always connect them, yet always be about sorrow, to have to have experienced that in their youth. I’m verbose about it, but just so much feeling packed into his gesture, adding to a song that’s really like that in every note. But the song is just so amazing by being a tragic love song weaving together romantic and patriotic love, with essentially sacrifice being the heart of it all.

I know three better female singer at least: Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Agnetha Fältskog and Karen Carpenter
among her style, YES! BUT.... than you have Whitney Houston!!!.
And Barbra Streisand...Celine Dion! ❤
The way she glided down the stairs at the exact beat of the chorus. Most beautiful thing I have ever seen. *Chef's kiss.
I love Andy Garcia, he does so beautifully opposite Cher!! Perfect and I heard he was her only choice!!! Perfect!!
Cher has a good taste :)
I love him since "when a Man loves a woman".❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@polly9429 I fell for him In the Godfather
I love his grace and manners and how he just hands that torch off while never taking his eyes off Ruby.
Amazing performance 🙌🌹🙏
Cher is allways joy to Listen and Watch her performance She is really QUEEN!
Love Cher! Her singing and as an actress. Want more!!!
Okay, the best part is definitely Sophie’s face throughout the song, and how Sky looks so amused.
Has anyone got that thinking on that sometimes, old people sing graceuflly?
Or is it just me?
They sure do
Mero
Old people .... Hahahaha
I've been a Cher fan for forty years and she is still as enchanting as she was when I heard her.
yes....which is why i love listening to my dad sing...even if he is off pitch...whenever he sings brings a smile on my face and i love it😁😁😁❤❤❤❤❤❤
One of the finest moments in any movie. By far. Classic.
I DIE EVERYTIME “RUBY” COMES UP OH MY
Wow Cher you got the beautiful voice I was dreaming to hear from a women. Thanks, you got that voice. God bless

She can barely move...haha 😂 she just keeps on goin though. LEGEND!
and here's me thinking that this masterpiece in a staggering collection of masterpieces couldn't be equaled.
should have known that could be left to our cher.
what an outstanding version of this song. one of the best cover versions of any song ever {not that that's that hard, i mean other than pet shop boys and sinead o'connor who really has improved on any song?}
and so brilliantly introduced into the show. i mean we'd met andy all throughout the movie, never knowing his first name.
abbasolutely superbly done.
awesome job and a highlight for me of this movie.
*music plays*
Literally every person on the Greece Island:
Mamma mia, here we go again...
Last year I went to Mykonos and I played all Mamma Mia songs in my iPod... and sang them of course.
It's so unreal that someday after we pass away someone will still watch this piece of art and will enjoy it. Life is so weird. Please enjoy every moment of it. We are In the year 2021 we have been through really hard times cause of covid. I hope the next generation will enjoy it more then us.
their voices just compliment eachothers. Love this song
One of the best performances for this song! Fernando!
Fernando is my favourite ABBA song, so I was scared stiff of Cher singing it. I needn’t have been … SHE NAILED IT ❤
"Now, I need to find Skye because he and I were gonna talk about you."
Alexandra typical grandmother really 😂 no filter
I always lose it from the moment he yells RUBY! and she says Fernando?! And starts the cheesy song 😂 and the expression of Amanda priceless
This is my favorite scene, they sounded so good
This scene was SO cool....Cher and Andy Garcia!!!!
I'm so happy that Chad Michaels is in Mamma Mia.
Chad about to die
Omg hahaha
