You need to change the lower intake manifold, its the biggest restriction on the engine. I've seen someone test every mod there is to do on this engine and making a custom LIM brought out the power. Also, long tube headers.

Don’t quite know how you are measuring the straight line acceleration but we ran the car to rev limited at 8500rpm on the track for testing the newly built engine and on the Dyno we ran it up to 9800rpm if that’s what you wanted to know… obviously the hp and torque is higher at higher rpm…
