This is exactly the information I'm looking for with 0 offset set-up. Excellent and very detailed, thanks for taking time to upload this video.
Truck looks badass. Exactly the info I need even after reading the f150 forums for fitment, thanks!
Glad I could help!
Best vid. Finally someone throwing some measurements around that you can take and compare.
Glad I could help!
Right on I was thinking of doing 18’s but after watching this I’m going 17’s I got the same body style truck looks great with that combo
Yeah I have 2 friends with the same wheels but in 18s. It visually make the side wall look a lot smaller even though it's just an inch of difference. And you get the off road performance benefit of course
Glad I stumbled on your Video. I have a 13 F150 and did exact same leveling kit as you did could not be happier well maybe if I went with Fox suspension . My truck I ordered new in 2013 it being a 8ft bed it was built in Kansas City we don't build the 8 ft beds in Dearborn Michigan . The Bilstein shocks are amazing stiffer ride and handling is fantastic my truck I only have 25k miles on it however I changed everything with the shocks new springs , top strut mount, isolator bushings for strut mount, bump stop for struts even though I only have 25k on truck wanted to change all parts cost more I have about $450 into leveling just didn't want put old parts back on. Now the tires I went with are Goodyear duratrac 315/70r17 nothing wrong with the BFG KO I use to run them on my other trucks since 1980s when I bought my truck in 13 was planning on the BFG"s a coworker mentioned to me try them the new Duratrac so with only 70 miles on the truck had belle tire order them and they were 285/70r17 obviously no leveling kit needed they were fantastic tires, today discount tire mounted the 315 duratracs on my truck and commented on how well the 285 tires wore great told him the key is rotating the tires. I was very nervous watching your video and you mentioned you had to do a lot of trimming . Only trimming that I had to do was just small amount on front facia noting on front wheel in the back part . I know you mentioned you went with 8.5 inch wide rim 0 offset . my rims I went with are 9 inch +6 offset and very minimal trimming . I have 2inch poke from my wheel wells will prob end up wheel flares also . Again sir very good video and fortunate I stumbled on your video . By the way if you ever make it to Michigan tour the Dearborn Truck plant amazing how we build these Trucks Built Ford Tough. Sorry I know long comment.
Awesome! I'm glad my video could help! What do you do for Ford?
Really concise vid, like how you put this information together, and took the time to measure and show those details. I have an '18, so different situation for me, but trying to figure out what I want to do - wanting those same tires 😍. Great job! Looks fantastic!
Thanks for your kind words. Merry Christmas!
Exact truck I have! And I want that exact same setup haha that’s funny! Wheels and suspension, but with 33’s
Well I guess you came to the right place!
Thanks for the info. That's a sexy truck!
Thanks man!
Respect. Nice truck 👍, good video.
Love the truck. Was wondering abt the pod lights on the hood, I have two rigid pod lights on my with the hood mount like yours and the dang antenna messing up the light beam. Was wondering if your little antenna does the same.
It does a little. But I think I have them pointed out enough where it isnt horrible.
Did you try to flex the suspension at all and check for rubbing? I'm just curious how this would fare offroad.
Sorry. Should have waited until the end of the video to comment. LOL. Do you think an 11.5" wide on stock wheels would rub offroad?
@@MrBrandonh98 honestly, I don't know. They might rub on the control arms at full lock. That is the concern when running on the stock wheels.
Good looking truck! Mine is almost identical haha. 2013 ecoboost fx4 with same wheels but 315/70r17 ko2’s
Statty • I love these wheels! How do you like your tire size?
NotSoQuaker I love them. I think they are slightly smaller than yours so I have no rubbing issues. Mine had king coilovers which leveled it 2.5 inches so that also might help why I have no rub
I wish I could send a picture over RUclips lol
Statty • I just looked it up! That's basically a 35 x 12.5. Hardly any difference!
NotSoQuaker yeah my truck is honestly near identical to yours haha. I need to upload a video of it.
I'm looking at a similar setup, but with 34x12.50r18 ko2s. Would 18mm offset work better or cause more issues? I was sure about it causing rubbing on control arms vs 0 offset. Also did you re-gear the truck? I have 3.55 gears, but might have to go up with since 34s/35s probably need it.
Brandon 21 you can go to about +7 offset before it starts to rub on the control arms
@@zb6618 I haven't seen any with +7. 0, 1+ and 18+ seem common. I'll probably just go with 0 then.
Brandon 21 icon makes wheels with +6 offset, I’m just saying that is the highest offset you could have and fit a 12.5 wide, but that’s only a quarter inch difference to 0 offset so it’s not really going to look different
I would recommend going to www.customwheeloffset.com/ and looking at their gallery, you can enter in make model, year, lift and offset to find people’s builds and what they put into them to see what fits
Hey I have Stock rims with +44 offset, they are 20” rims. Will a 1.5” spacer essentially do the same thing and fit 35x12.5R20
nice truck. about the headlights, stock ford or off brand?
Those are the Ford oem ones. Not sure what is the name of them are. They are just the stock dark gray ones
Your truck 😍. with 2.5 level kit, I can put 315/70R17 tire
You might not have to trim if you do that!
Could you possibly do a quick video showing what you had to do to the rear bottom portion of the front set of your new fender flares to prevent rubbing?
Oh man, are you do you have the same set up as me?
@@NSQGarage lol yes, got the wheels and tires mounted today and already had to do a lot of trimming just going to a 0 offset. Had the same tires on raptor wheels that fit with minimal trimming. Had to take the factory fender flares off, but plan on installing the same fender flares here in the next few days.
@@Camsh0ts so I didn't have to do much trimming on my fender flares. I'm surprised if you were having issues with that. Once I added mud flaps I started to rub on those a bit, but only on one side
Feel like a 315/70/R17 would have fit a bit better. Could even do a +20 Offset or so. You would have only had to of done Plastic trimming instead of the metal in the back..
You are probably right Haha. I was being stubborn and had my mind set on 35 x 12.5s
If I did something like a -12 or -24 offset would that make my running worse?
I think it would make it worse because it would increase the radias of the tire when you turn
I’m buying 20x 10 -24 and 35s for my leveled 09 F-150. I looked at other with similar setups and it’s minor plastic trimming
@@roush3836 oh wow. That's surprising. I would not have guessed that. Are the tires 12.5 wide?
NotSoQuaker yes they are. I didn’t think it would work either
NotSoQuaker Wrong. I have 2012 with 2.5 level. I’m running 35/12.5 /18 with a -12 offset. I trimmed wheel wells as expected and there is no rubbing on UCAs at full lock.🇵🇱🇺🇸😷
nice flag 👌
Have you had any issues with your control arms being too close to your tires or actually rubbing? I’ve got a ‘13 fx4 eco and I just put a set of 35” Nitto ridge grapplers on the stock 20” wheels and the control arms are almost touching the backsides of the front tires. I believe they might be rubbing when I turn hard.
Yes that should be the case. So that is what a "more-negative" offset fixes for you. It pushes the wheel further away from the suspension. I think the stock offset is +35 or something like that. So the closer you get the 0, the more room you will have to play with
NotSoQuaker what would be a better, safer option... wheel spacers or getting into a set of aftermarket wheels that have the amount of offset needed for more room?
@@danielcastano4928 a lot of people say wheel spacers aren't safe. But tons of people run them with no issues. If you can't afford new wheels or you like your stock wheels, go for wheel spacers
GOTTA 2013 F150 4X4 WITH 2 1/2 " LEVEL KIT. GOT 33" TIRES NOW; IM ABOUT TO PUT 35" MUD GRIPS. YOU THINK I CAN FIT THEM WITH MINOR RUBBING??? aLSO HAVE STOCK LARIAT 20" WHEELS.
How wide are the tires you want to get?
@@NSQGarage EXACT SIZE IS 35"X12.50"X20". I HAVE THE STOCK LARIAT 20" WHEEL. NOT SURE HOW WIDE THE RIM IS??
@@c.juneau410 so the issue I have heard is that with a tire that wide, you will rub on your control arms. I think you still have to do some plastic trimming as well
A wheel with more offset well allow you to run a 12.5 wide with no rubbing on the control arms. That's how I got by
@@NSQGarage Yea, maybe so. My son had given these tires to me for free so im a put em on. He did say and is planning on trimming some inner plastic on the fender/bumper area's...? But, with a 2.5" level kit, you think it'll be that bad??
You think it'll rub if I get a 0 offset wheel with 285 70 17 tires on a stock f150?
Because I have the 285 tires on the truck with no rubbing but it has the stock 44mm rim just wondering if it'll rub if I change the rim to 0 offset
@@Fast.Money956 I don't think you would have any problem at all. If it doesn't run now, that means it def won't it your upper control arms. Then the next spot to look at is the fenders. And it's less than a 33 so I think you would be good.
@@NSQGarage Thanks my man appreciate it.
Where did you get those side 3.5l badges ?
Statty • m.uprproducts.com/f150-35l-twin-turbo-emblem.html
It looks like the price went down! They were $40 a piece when I bought them lol
I might have to do that with my 2010, I assume your truck is leveled?
Yes! Bilstein 5100s on the front set at 2.5 in
Nice I have 3" in the front...finding new raptor tires with rims on craigslist for $400 haha that's $800 cheaper than my last set of stock size ko2's
Are those raptor running boards or just look alikes
They are raptor running boards. The previous owner put them on
Do you have a level kit in the front or are you stock suspension?
Leveled!
Will 315/70/17 can fit on a 2inch leveled?
What offset? Stock wheels? If it's on the stock wheels, I think you will rub on your UCAs
I also want to get 35x12.50 but on a 20x10 rim. What offset would I need to them from poking?
Could you repeat your question?
NotSoQuaker What offset would i need to keep them from sticking out too much?
@@swashington942 the stock offset will be the least offset you can go about +35 I believe. But that will run on your upper control arm. So maybe something like +25 might eliminate that and minimize your tires sticking out
NotSoQuaker Thanks for the response.
Try using a go pro
Do you have any rubbing on your A arms
Nope. The zero offset eliminates that issue. If you run 35 x 12.5 with the stock rims, you will get rubbing on the a arm
@@NSQGarage thank you for the info
Did you notice a big MPG change with the big 35's?
City mpg didn't really change that much. However highway mileage suffers a bit. Maybe like 2 mpg....sadly
That's better then I was guessing. Thanks for the reply. My EcoBoost is too much fun to drive to get good mpg anyway 😁
@@cgeeraert6962 agreed!
WHats the name of the rims and tires ?
check the description
are those f250 mirrors?
They are very similar. I don't remember the brand off the top of my head unfortunately
What exhaust you got on it?
At this point. It was an Aero Turbine exhaust
What’s the tire size?
? In the title?
Did you regear it?
No I did not. Still 3.73s. no problems though
Nice👍
What gears do you have?
3.73s
Maybe 4.10s some day
Pavement princess
o iSlay you probably slay dragons in your moms basement and drive a mini van
o iSlay I’m gonna go out on a limb and say you drive a 2wd f150 on deep dish wheels?
Not a fan of black.out wheels..all that money and looks like a black spare tire wheel.
Boring rims.....
Patty Hays I agree he should have put rockstars on.
