“The Mysticism of Saint Augustine” by John Peter Kenney

JOHN PETER KENNEY is Professor of Religious Studies at Saint Michael’s College. He was previously Professor of Religion and Humanities at Reed College and then Dean of the College at Saint Michael’s. He studied Classics and Philosophy at Bowdoin College and completed his Ph.D. in Religious Studies at Brown University. He is the author of Mystical Monotheism: A Study in Ancient Platonic Theology (Brown University Press/University Press of New England, 1991), The Mysticism of Saint Augustine: Rereading the Confessions (Routledge, 2005) and Contemplation and Classical Christianity: A Study in Augustine (Oxford University Press, 2013).
