  • This is a based tutorial how to create a bootable usb for OS X Mountain Lion. What you just need: 8GB USB, and a OS X Mountain Lion. THIS METHOD IS WORK FOR 10.14 or earlier. If you are using Catalina, please install mojave or early version on seperate volume.

    Based-Tutorial:
    1. Insert your usb to your mac.
    2. Open disk utility.
    3. Click on the external drive and click on the erase and name it (It will erase all data, don't blame me).
    4. Search for Install OS X Mountain Lion.app and right click and click on Show Package Contents.
    5. Go to Contents/ShareSupport/InstallESD.dmg.
    6. Then, click on restore.
    7. And restore from: Mac OS X Install ESD.
    8. Enjoy! Just turn off your mac and hold the option button until you see the boot option. Click on Mac OS X Install ESD and you're done!
