I live in a small town where people are generally nice on the surface but lots of ugly stuff happens when you're not looking. And the clouds in the background of this level, contrasted against the dark sky, resemble how the sky looks over my town towards the end of the day. Grey and dark with trickles of color going through them. So for me, listening to this song invokes the feeling of sitting on the edge of town, looking over, thinking about all the people and what they're doing at the moment. It feels slightly happy but also it feels off, knowing there could be a mugging, or a drug deal or some other shady stuff going on behind any door.
You guys have been here too right? It's like one of those liminal spaces where the appearance of the place is generic but abstract enough that most of us have seen something similar in our dreams at some point. It's trippy
do you know deja vu? its that. and btw the only dreams you should be certain to draw info from would be nightmares you have had as a child. i remember being eaten by a lion and my family couldnt hear my screams and then i just surrendered and woke up. or when a poop monster chased me through my school in dark. scary stuff
the strangest thing that i have for this song is, before i even get to know about omori properly, i had a dream of some weird hot air balloon, i walked around then there's a black & white-esque elevator, it leads me to this area, but it's 3D the music also plays, which i never knew or heard of it before i get to know the game, surely it still weirds me out til this day
Wow, cool! There’re also some guys in the comments that seemed to see this kind of dreams about the game as well before playing. Really curious how this can happen, maybe some things related to unconscious stuff o,o
I took a nap and I woke up at 1 in the morning and here I am wide awake listening to Omori's more liminal feeling tracks that the game is so good at embodying.
I don't know if this was intentional or not, but Nawa in Japanese, 「なわ」or 「縄」means "rope", which, given certain... aspects of the lore of omori is a bit uhhh-
Actually never knew about this musician\album and It really has similarities with Nawa. Not to mention that i love this kind of music! Thanks for recommendation. •,•
This place gave me PTSD. Everytime I look at a clouded moon, I think of this place and start panicking. Maybe it's not the best idea to try to cope with it by listening to this...
:D Yeah, triggering PTSD doesn't seem like a good idea, especially if it's associated with certain bad feelings. In my case, I feel relieved when certain real-life events remind me of the gaming experience, even when the gaming experience was unpleasant and difficult to comprehend. I don't know exactly why, maybe this is the kind of relaxation that you feel when you run away into your White / Black space and dissolve into it, like Sunny did.
Don't really know precise at this point, I guess this place probably represents most of the good memories of the hut they had a good time in, turned into bad memories, suppressed in his psyche
I was thinking that it was what Sunny's current perception of his own backyard was. At one point it was a wonderful place where he found friendly and comforting. However it has been years since he has been there or even seen it and his coherent memory of it is starting to fade. He is probably filling the gaps of his memory with the feelings he used to have associated with the backyard, that of comfort and peace, which has turned his perception into a surreal wasteland. All the while trying his best to suppress the memories with Mari.
The treehouse is simultaneously a piece of former comfort (hence it serving as the first headspace room) and trauma due to being where the key to the toy chest was hidden, as well as being near the stump. Maybe that's why. It's been constantly corrupted and restored, hence its appearance
This sounds like walking home during sundown, alone underneath the dwindling light of day
Yknow this is my go to song to listen to on my walks I take around sundown, and yeah it encapsulates that feeling perfectly.
those wings are totally one of those pictures the doctors hand you and are like
"what do you see?"
Damn, you are right! :o
I think that's called the Rorschach Ink Blot test, or something like that
I looked up the meaning of a moth in a dream, and it means you need to connect with your inner self
yeah.

Like you found something, but also lost something in return.

What a crazy coincidence
I could have sworn I heard this in my dreams before I heard this song
Very interesting

Sounds very yume nikki-esque
this and calm had that vibe
fr the black space areas really gave yume 2kki vibes
This is by far my favorite black space ambience/track. Calm comes at a close second (haha funny song reference)

This is def one of my favorite blackspace songs
I feel like I'm lost in the walls, but I'm underwater and everything is fading away as I walk alone to the end of time
My favorite room on Black Space...
I played hopscotch with Basil and took a nap with him
Sleeping with Basil =]
Pedro silva is definitely onto something
this song is screaming like "YUME NIKKI"
This sounds like having strange semi lucid dreams on a late summer night.
this song you dont wanna hear in the elevator with your best friend
am I the only one who thinks this is the best blackspace room? something about it just seems familiar. Something about blackspace just feels familiar
sounds like windows 7 warning sound but distorted

thank ouy very mych

Thank you for the clouds

This is probably the weirdest track in omori. It makes me feel so uneasy. I don't know what about it makes me feel uneasy and i don't know why.
I wonder what this area symbolizes?
