400g nuts
200g dates
3ts coconut oil
2ts vanila essence
Mousse
3 Avocados
4to5 tsb coconut oil
8to10 tsb sweetener
??g Coco
1tsp vanila

I personally would make a hazelnut crust because all desserts should be reminiscent of nutella in my mind, but everything else is perfect. As a person who is trying to force herself to like avocados, I appreciate this recipe. I will use it as the first step in my 12 step avocado introduction program.

Just found you guys and look forward to trying this recipe. Only 1 problem, I don't know where I can get agavi syrup here in Israel. Can I substitute honey or maple syrup (I can get organic honey and maple syrup here)?

Wondering is it possible or bonkers! to use a vitamix by pulsing it instead of using a food processor? Love the message you guys give on healthy happy get the kids involved food.

Could I replace the agave syrup with honey? Will it have the same effect? Where I live agave syrup is really hard to come by.

I made this at the weekend for a vegan pot luck I was going to, I almost passed out at how much it cost, 40 euro for all the ingredients but I thought not to worry but it also didn't taste so good as I wasn't sure how much cacao to put in, so all in all I wouldn't be giving it a thumbs up and neither did the majority of the folk who tasted it, but hey, you win some, you lose some......
How muxh is would be expesive? 30 euros
Is there an alternative way to make the base? I'm allergic to all types of nuts
A seed base might work for you. Sunflower, pumpkin, the dates will make it nice and sticky.

Maria Amposta I don't know to be honest. :( We've never had to use an alternative for it. Sorry we couldn't help, but if we ever come across anything we'll be sure to get back to you.
Maria Amposta If you wanted to keep it vegan I've seen a few recipes that have used firm silken tofu as a base for a mousse. It's a flavourless, creamy base and I'm pretty sure the coconut oil in this recipe is added to help it set up a bit anyway. In theory I think you could swap it out weight for weight for the avocado. Just make sure you get the silken sort, and the firm variety of tofu so it holds its shape. Most supermarkets where I am stock it, but Asian supermarkets should definitely have it :)
