    One of my favorite authors. His stories are simple but captivating. Can read his books in any season. THey can make you feel good.

    I also think the tv movies they did back in early 2000s captured the soul of his books. Starting Adam Beach and Wes Studi. Wonderful movies those were.

    Thank you for this tribute to a wonderful writer. He had the ability to transport his readers to the Southwest. I have all of his books, one is signed by Mr. Hillerman. I wish that I had met him in person. I know have collected all of Anne Hillermans books also. Can't wait to read them.

      I too have read all his books, wish some of the paperbacks were available in hard cover. I am happy Anne has picked up the thread, because the characters become like relatives that one wants to visit at will.
