I know it's not happening this year, but how dangerous would the pirates be in a 5 or 7 game series? I don't think ANY TEAM would want to face them. Keller, Jones, and Skenes? One of them you'd face possibly 3 times?!! And if Fleming could get it together, and we get just a little bit of productivity from our bats, this would be a nightmare for anyone. I can't think of any team in my lifetime that was a more dangerous, below .500 team. It's like they're one bat away from taking over. Just a little protection for Reynolds. Maybe a big lefty for the short porch at PNC. Ya, the brew crew and the rest of the central better hope that the pirates do their usual "let's rebuild this team from scratch, and save 5 dollars!!" Orhwrwise, if they invest in 1 or 2 players, it's lights out for this division and quite possibly the national league for the next 5 or even 6 years. At least until Jones and Skenes rookie deals are done. Anyone else feel this way? Or am I huffing pirate fuel?
You’re puffin fuel, they are dangerous with the starting pitching but they would need a management shift to get another quality bat. Could definitely be a playoff team if they can go on a tear but I don’t see them hanging with Philly in Philly if it would come down to it.

Pirates have lost about 5-8 more games this year than they really should have. Horrible management an hit coaching are the only things keeping this team out of a wild card spot right now, but the last 5 games, Pittsburgh has averaged 7.6 runs, has hit 15 homers and is hitting a .278 at the plate

7 home runs Fri and 5 tonight. Next game, the Buccos will prob get shut out and have 2 hits. But that seems to be Pirates baseball in 2024

Pirates need to enjoy this because it is a guarantee you are not winning anymore games in Milwaukee nor are you going to hit the ball like that. The Pirates are bottom feeders in the division while the Brewers are heading for a division championship something the Pirates never have done win the NL central. Pretty bad you don't have a full rotation. Remember the Brewers always win against Pittsburgh remember 20 plus runs on two games in a row. Pirates are a terrible baseball team.
