Graphite transfer to the gel plate is so easy!!
I used different thickness of paints, plus water to create a variety of line work and textures.
I had a failed pull from the gel plate which I rescued with matte medium and time!!
I used gel plate, paper, 2b pencil, pthalo turquoise, lemon yellow, alizarin crimson and gold acrylic paint. Also silicon wedge shaper, paintbrushes and brayer.

Oh, this is fantastic! I haven't had a disaster on this scale yet, after investing so much work into the image, but when I inevitably do, I now know how to save it. And I love the quality of the lines and textures in the finished image.
Hi, I love your profile name!!! This is me too 😂😎
I was determined to save that print due to the lines and textures!!! I know I can do similar prints but I wouldn’t be able to repeat that one and it was my first print with focus on that. Thank you, I really like you liked the lines, they’re my favourite part.
What a nice surprise to find a new video from the lovliest quirkiest queen ever on my lazy Saturday noon. That´s really a new dimension on the plate and I am glad you could save it. I´ve also recently healed smaller disasters with gel med, but it´s good to see, how strong it really is. How is your exhibition going my dear? So nice to have you back here Britta
It was a great start to my day Britta…I’d invested so much in getting it right!!! I’ve been at the botanical gardens this afternoon. The cacti was the best. Some extraordinary shapes, a photo is never the same. I think the painting on paper has given me a bit of a much needed perspective as I was feeling a bit of burnout and didn’t want to keep repeating the same processes. Hope you’re having a lovely weekend dear Britta ❤️🥰❤️
Such a bonnie boorach! I admire your reclamation efforts.
I was determined Clyde. I’d already tried to do this and used a grey shade that was just a bit dreekit lookin. That sucker was coming aff the plate!!!!!
👁👁👍 Your a very good gel plate artist. Very innovative and smart.
Aw thanks grinder 👀👀👀🤝😁
Thriller cinema for the gel print crowd. Awesome rescue! I never knew a rescue was possible in that situation. Thank you very much for sharing the details and for all of your videos.
Ha ha Kristine!!!!
It was like a horror until the last minute when columbo waded in and solved it!!!! I love this, imagine if I’d sped the video up slightly…the adrenaline would be just too much for the gel print crowd!!!!!!
👏Love Peter Falk! A little more daring do, and you’re Jason Bourne with a gel plate. Love it!
I’m happy with that 😂😁😎🕵🏻♂️
So is the trick to put down gel med before the white application?
Hi Kate, no, it’s just used as a rescue in this case. I should’ve rolled a thicker layer of white in the first place.
I just thought it would be helpful to show that I did rescue quite a disaster with the gel med.
you can lift prints off the plate with matte iron gel mediums, but not usually necessary with acrylic paint.
I hope that makes sense 🫣😂
Bravo!
@@gayneels5169 thank you!!!!!! 😁
