One of the things I repeatedly said to Mr Christmas Village is everything is fixable. There is always a solution to any mistake make. I know because of all the things I have tried, I have made a lot of mistakes that I have had to fix. 😁😂🤣
I usually put up my village right after Thanksgiving, but this year, I’m putting up my village in mid-November. I put my village up on boards on a ladder. I’m adding a back drop this year using a night sky poster paper adhered to foam board. I inherited my Mom’s North Pole collection from Department 56 for the first 6 years of that collection. I rotate the bottom board with houses from either A Christmas Story or A Christmas Carol.
Hey Rebecca, thanks so much! No, I haven’t tried the resin yet. I completely forgot to try it on my waterfall for the lake. I have it written down though because it’s definitely something I want to try. I have used a clear plastic cup to mold the waterfall though. I did shoot a video for a custom job I did but I still have to edit it.

Wow! What a beautiful layout. I love the way you have the 2 separate Lemax stairs stacked up. The swans are soooo cute! Great tip about the cement after 1st layer of glue. How in the world did you get those cobblestones so perfect? 😁
I am going to store my base on its side and I was thinking about something you said in another video about the resin water areas pulling away from the bases in storage. I’m going to try inserting pins or wires around the shores (before pouring resin) to bind the resin to the base. Wish me luck. I’ll report back.
I love it! It's so pretty and the cobblestone matched perfectly and looks great! Regarding resin though, I'm not sure if you know about using lung protection when using it. There are videos on RUclips by crafters who have significantly damaged their lungs by making glitter cups covered in resin / epoxy without protecting their lungs. Safe crafting ❤
