Hi Kelley, just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how appreciative I am of your willingness to not only share your expertise and wisdom with others, but to do it for free and not behind a paywall! That's hard to come by these days. My mother always had a Christmas village and I recall staring at that village as a child and trying to see all of the little details in the illuminated buildings. It just brought such joy. For a while my mom stopped putting up the village because it became too much work for her and the family naturally grew and so my parents did a lot of traveling around the holidays. This past Christmas we set it up again and my husband was able to see a large village for the first time- you should have seen the joy in his eyes! It perfectly matched the joy and wonderment in my nieces and nephews. Needless to say, my husband and I are making our first attempt at a Halloween village this year. He plays Dungeons & Dragons and says so much of your work crosses over perfectly into the worlds they create. Anyways, sending you so much thanks for your kindness and generosity in continuing to upload these videos and share your knowledge so that others can experience more joy and excitement around the holidays. Take care and be well. - your newest fan in Monterey CA! :)
Oh thank you so much for sharing this with me! What special memories you have as a child. It reminds me so much of my own. My Dad had a Christmas display and it was so magical. I love so much that you are able to continue the tradition and set up the village for your husband and the next generation of village enthusiasts. How incredibly special. You are bringing joy to all who get to experience your passion and creativity! Thank you so much for your kind words - they mean so much to me. I love being able to share these videos and "meet" so many incredible people. What fun and enchanting hobby we all share! Have the happiest of holiday seasons and have a blast creating!
Storage is such a challenge for me. I really don’t have a lot of room and I keep creating new pieces! I’ll store most of my pieces in the attic, just as they are. It’s a bit like assembling a puzzle trying to get them to fit. I store some pieces on shelves in my garage. I’ll store my smaller display pieces in large plastic storage bins. The styrofoam gets a little banged up every year but I’ll just do a little paint touch up or glue some moss to those areas when it’s time to set them up again.

Kelly, How do you store your display pieces?

Sorry, but the background music is competing with your dialog.
Thanks for the feedback!
