I find myself having a very good time with Hackers (I'm about 1800 MMR) starting with standard play Arclight carries, and when Arcs get range and ideally either marksman or EMP I then add Hackers which will get all the paralyzed units on my side. I usually also get mustangs but they're just for AM+Range and I almost never level them up, they're long range chaff for the Arclight+Hacker carry mostof the time!
I am currently 1800MMR and had a good hacker /mustang / chaff board going. My opponent sold out of sabertooth and went heavy into overlord. By the 7-9th round my shields couldn't hold against overlords with launcher overload. My question: Is Overlord one of the best counters to mustang hacker? I know it's situational but it's good to know when Mustang Hacker is effectively being countered.
Without seeing the game--and in general (because Mech is such a situational game), I've always felt like Mustangs are a great counter to Overlords. Things can get a little dicey when they get three-teched with Range, LO, and HE. But as long as you have a few Marksman or Farseer to apply EMP and/or enough Mustangs with Range and AA (maybe even AP), you should be good.
I see people rush early vulcs and I don't get it. OK they counter early game chaff. But it just seems so like.. If it was viable then the game would be in a really bad state.
Personally, i do not enjoy the games versus inferior opponents as much. The strategies are fun, but game-understanding wins the game any day of the week and your opponents just cant keep up in that regard so its less thrilling for me than your other videos.
Thanks for the comment, Jox. I totally understand where you're coming from. Our goal for the Mustangs Hacker series is to get higher. We're slowly climbing 😁
Poor bugger ran into a perfect counter to his cookie cutter cheese build, haha!
I respect the attempt. Kind of funny we were placing down Hackers though haha 🤣
Lets go boys, nice to see Whooped lay down the game. You you also stream Mr. W?
I don't stream atm. I only make videos on YT
RAWR (I didnt know what to say lol)
Got the feeling the opponent didn't even try to counter. Like they had blinkers on.
That would have been frustrating if I dropped two Vulcans on round 2 without even borrowing and the guy dropped two Hackers lmao
Brutal supremacy
YEAH HAX!

Interesting! I'll have to try this

It can be tough to deal with sometimes I suppose. Unlucky for him I called it round one. :D
