I often go for walks from Carlton Colville into the Lowestoft High Street. Most of the time, I only just manage to avoid getting stopped at the Bascule Bridge and arrive in the High Street just before the alarms go off. Same when I'm walking back home.

Nice! I hate the way the alarms loop here; being a PA system they could easily program it with a "Please clear the bridge" message in-between the tones (like at Preston docks) so it doesn't have that annoying pause when looping the alarm tone and it would also be safer
