What all did you have to do as far as wiring and whatnot for the carb? Is it as easy as just throw the carb on and run or do you have to mess with the computer and wiring to get it to the running stage?
The only wiring I needed was the temperature sensor, and ground wire. I eventually deleted all fuel injection wiring. You can run stock ECU just fine without the other things being plugged in 👍🏼
Hello I am about give the carburetor a try over the fuel injection it is a 2014 kfx450. I have a 2007 crf450r laying around the shop what main and pilot would you recommend. It has a weisco pison 10 4 1, trinity ported /polished head ,kibble white valves, springs and retainers, hot cams stage 2 cams.
I muscled the crf intake boot onto the kfx head, but a kx 450 intake boot works perfect for both the crf carb and kfx head. The intake tube and FCI fit perfectly to the carburetor without any adjustment.
My KFX 450 build breakdown ruclips.net/video/-pLaDbdVhbw/видео.html This video is a full breakdown of everything I had done to it as carb swapped. There are a ton of guys who have done them now and can help explain in the Facebook groups or old forum posts surprisingly.
I had spent close to $1300 replacing items related to the electronics and fuel injection and never got the fuel situation sorted. This is a very common issue with the kfx and several other people have done the same. The FCR carb actually was more powerful at the low end range and gave me 0 issues for the months I ran it at the track.
Hey, Before switching to carb from EFI, a handful of people have done it successfully and they all had Procom ECU’s so I followed in their footsteps. Now after others have recently moved to carbs, we have found out a stock ECU will work just fine without any issues.

@@KFX_JD okay thank you i will give it a try
Hey where did you get you graphics kit from
These are graphics from when I bought the quad, Senge graphics I believe? I didn’t make them or anything.
Does the CRF carburetor fit perfectly or do you have to make an adaptation?
together with the original air system

Do you have any video of how you did the conversion?

I don't understand why you want to go backwards what's wrong with fuel injection?

Because fuel injection sucks and carbs are simple but yet reliable! Mine also maybe more power with a carb
Why the pro com ecu over the stock ecu. Nice quad also

@@KFX_JD I rebuilt 2 on CFR carbs and stock ecu and they👌🏿.
@@KFX_JDoh really thank you
Is fuel pump still needed?
No it is not! I made a custom gas tank plate with a petcock that replaced the fuel pump.
What jetting u running
175 main, 45 pilot, fuel screw 2.25 turns out, NCVQ needle on middle clip.
Did the stock intake work ?
Intake boot*
Yes, the stock intake boot works just perfect for this swap.

Carb list that you can use.
