Mayfield EF4. Now known by storm chasers as the Quad State Tornado. You can rebuild structures, you cannot rebuild lost lives. This tornado took 24 lives that night.
It wasn't a quad state tornado. It was a few news outlets that jumped the gun that incorrectly called it that. The parent storm dropped tornadoes across four states but this tornado only hit two.
I live in Mayfield. It's nice to see a news report get it right regarding the sentiment of those of us who live here. Our town, like many small towns, has been slowly dying for some time. The tornado only seems to have escalated things. #FJB
Mayfield KY Is In (Western Kentucky) Not Eastern.
Former resident of Murray....
I love you Mayfield Kentucky ❤

Yes takes seconds to a minute to do the damage but years to undo it.

@@Cereal421 Which is also the speculation of what the "Tri-State Tornado" was.
Wow can’t believe it’s been 2 years. I remember that day very very well
Monticello Indiana lost pretty much it's entire downtown 50 years ago on April 3rd 1974. They definitely can relate.
I really hope Mayfield doesn't become a ghost town because there is such little progress.
Eastern Kentucky town? That's false. It's southwestern.
Apparently western Kentucky is southern central. Whoever came up with Kentuckys geography drank too much moonshine.
Love our Feds right?? YouCrane sure does!!
Yeah they sure do. They give Mayfield $5 million but Ukraine has got $175 billion so far. American folks are definitely last right now.
😂😂😂

wow that is 2 year ago, i hope 5 years in 2026!
