I prefer JPJ but Barton is absurdly strong. I think he'll be a great center as he's had multiple blocks vs 2 Defenders and stop them completely.
Ive only seen him struggle against DE's with a lot of speed who line up very outside
It's interesting how little to zero conversation I've heard in regards to drafting a non-blue chip prospect to replace perhaps the *_best_* OT of the last couple of decades in the entire game?
Screw settling for the 8th or 9th best Tackle prospect to permanently replace a surefire first ballot Hall of Famer in Tyrone Smith (who we couldn't even reach deep playoff games *_with_* )...
As such, *_if_* Amarius Mims is available, we should sprint to the podium as he is the closest player to Tyrone Smith's true freak of nature body & athletic abilities. Mims is really raw, but if he's coachable...he has the highest ceiling of all of these touted 1st Rd OT's (including Joe Alt). And we are proven to be adept at coaching up premium blue chip OL rookies. Not so much with below avg. OL talents.
I'd rather be able to keep Tyler Smith at LG... But, it seems I'm higher than most regarding his ability to become a premier LT too.
If Barton & Powers-Johnson are both off the board, that probably means Fortanu or Latham are still there, for whatever unforseen reason. I like both at Guard waaayyyy more than at LT. Each is probably a legit future pro-bowl Guard or perhaps RT if Steele is gone in a year or two. Latham is only a Guard for me; Fortanu could be a great potential RT.
*_If_* Mims is gone, we should take either of the 2 *_best_* C prospects available in the draft: CP-J or Barton. The former's medical concerns matter a ton here as we aren't in a position to miss with this pick. Which is higher on the Dallas board?

The Cowboys don't draft OLmen late in the draft as well as they sign UDFA. I hope they use those middle rounds on RBs... I would draft 2. Rico can't play.

We signed a linebacker, and are getting overshown back from injury along with returning our starter from last year... if you think we need linebacker over offensive line.... I pray you are never in a position to make personnel decisions for a football team.
Bass will be the left tackle and Hoffman will be center . The games they started last year the Cowboys posted their best running games .. What cost the Cowboys games was a shortage of linebacker and a under par running back ...
@@perryfaulk9344 Bass never played LT at all. He filled in at both guard spots. Hoffman played against a depleted Washington D line. That game didn’t matter to them at all.
