I could see the Pilot one being quite useful. I own a few Pilot pens and I really enjoy them, but I find a bulb syringe is less than ideal for cleaning them because the little tab for the cartridges just gets in the way.
Serious question: Does this cleaning tool have any advantages over using the empty converter the same way? I've taken to filling the converter with water and flushing the nib and converter at the same time. I've wondered if I'm wearing out my converters prematurely, but I mostly have cheap Jinhaos and quite a few spare converters.
If the converter is the push / pull kind there wouldn't be any difference. Pretty much all of my converters have to be twisted to move the plunger up and down. So, rather than all that twisting, it's nice to be able to push and pull the water through quickly.
Anyone else try this tool from Schon DSGN? How do you clean your LAMY safari style pens without making a mess? Other cleaning tips or tricks? Thanks!
I put a tea strainer over the plug hole....
Excellent idea, thanks!
