Ran lacks character development in Detective Conan. Ran is more like a magician lovely assisted all she good for is looking pretty, and do some tricks with her boss that's all Ran is good for in the story. Ran is like Mrs. Hudson if Mr.s Hudson was a Japanese teenage girl that knows karate. So far, later in the story, we got Ai Haibara, who lets face facts, she is ten million times more interesting. She's a scientist, she has some good sense of humor, she's constantly helping Conan in every way possible, and I mean, like, actually, help. Not just standing their do nothing and do some help for Conan as his bodyguard, but actually coming up with plans to defeat the enemies.
+MagnaKnight I agree.. she should have some character development.. I mean she cant stay clueless forever. There were some times where she uses her karate skills to save Conan from the bad guy but it seems like a passing instance, nothing significant.
Thank you for understanding at least some people understand what's the problem of this story. Ran is nothing without Shinichi/Conan when comes to money, stopping crime, and able to travel.
Their story is what keeps me from feeling bitter towards what others call it love. Love is a connection of the heart not connection of the brain. Basing your emotion on what you think is not a real emotion. I can smile at you and pretend that it's genuine but it's not. Just like in love.
It's also sad that in this day, what you call before kindness is now romance. Because I give you kindness now give me love in return. I hate it so much. That's why I really love the couple ShinRan they portrayed not perfect but what a real boyfriend girlfriend means is.
