4:50 Ronnie's mom abandoned him as a child due to addiction... I think that is why he can relate to this song and means so much to remaster such a classic. That MUST have been a daunting task...
Yeah that's true though Jacoby wrote this song about his roommate and their experience with attempting suicide. Thank goodness they found them in time and got them to the hospital and the help they needed
Pois é, o tempo passou, não sei se a mãe dele está viva e talvez precisando de ajuda financeira e outras coisas, não que eu esteja concordando com o uso das drogas, mas, é complicadinho viver neste mundinho
Papa Roach is touring with Falling in Reverse right now I think. I think the song means a lot to him since he can relate to it so much. He took a song, like two of his older ones, and showcased the real meaning behind the lyrics. Such a powerful song when you actually listen to the lyrics. Loved the reaction, you two.
I heard that Ronnie and Jacoby (singer for PR) are close friends and they worked together on the arrangement for this song. Not sure its true but would make sense.
@@Diesal3Not sure if that's true. Sean Rooney was the main force behind it and Ronnie was involved. Jacoby did a reaction video of it himself so he obviously hadn't heard it prior to it coming out
It's a continuation of watch the world burn hence the healing of the world after he destroyed it at the end of watch the world burn it is a part of their EP Neon Zombie so its part of his story he's trying to tell with the EP he started with zombified then voice's in my head then watch the world burn and now last resort reimagined there is supposed to be one more song if it's still a five song EP.
Here is a brief summary of my opinion the videos of falling in reverse, as far as i could observe, always represent a context. many of the videos are a continuation of the previous video. in this particular case "watch the world burn" is the processing of anger and rage.... settling accounts with the world and rising up as a worldender.... who doesn't know it when anger overcomes you? last resort is shown in the style of inception ... the lowest dream level ... the subconscious or the self ... so really the last point of retreat... when you really want to hit the nerdy stuff: Carl Gustav Jung had thematized in his works the shadow, which harbors everything negative and socially inappropriate. In order to heal psychologically as an individual, shadow work involves accepting one's negative/bad sides and integrating them into one's life in a constructive way. to become who you have always been, to accept who you are without shame and regret. both videos together, therefore, represent the processing process and last resort especially the healing.... because when there is no one left to blame.... you start to look for the mistakes in yourself... when you realize that you can't go on like this ("can't go on living this way") and that you have suppressed everything so far... the healing process begins. Figuratively the world from this point on does not disintegrate further and is rebuilt ... or the fires that were set during "watch the world burn" are extinguished again. no idea if someone still sees it that way or it was actually the idea behind it... for me at least it makes sense... ronny is a damn genius
I seriously need a whole album of these reimagined songs with Ronnie singing! Made me all emotional listening to it here again! Let’s thanks Jacoby for writing ✍️ this powerful song 🎶 and for Ronnie treating with the respect it deserves! Now all I can think is how would Papa Roach song Scars sound with Ronnie singing it but I think Ronnie picked it because he relates to it, his Mom abandoned because of drugs and think he felt he could definitely make those lyrics even more meaningful with the ballad!
Thanks for reaction! 🎉 I remember the time, when I needed just one person to tell me :"You are fine". This songs hits straight into heart😢 Lovely version❤
I've always loved pappa roaches version of this song. But now that I'm an adult i. Finally, understand the sadness behind the lyrics. Ronnie did a great job.
Loved this. Now that you guys have done this one maybe you can do that LP cover of Beyoncé's "Halo" ? Especially since several ppl commented in the last LP reaction you did that you should do "Halo" next. So what do ya say?
I think Ronnie gives the text the right, worthy framework. The Papa Roach version is too rocky for the seriousness of the lyrics. That's exactly what Ronnie conveys in this song, the pain and the fight with and against evil thoughts. Surely only people who have psychological problems and fight their demons every day can understand this. How often her mental world collapses and threatens to bury her. How many times do you think, “I can’t go on like this” and fight your way out, only to find again and again, “Nothing is okay.” But you keep fighting, every day. They fight with all their strength against being buried under their collapsing world. The sad thing is that too many people lose this battle, ultimately running out of strength and being buried under their collapsing world.
I feel like the PapaRoach version was a teenager pissed off at the world and Falling in Reverse is a grown up that has matured and opened their eyes to the world in my opinion

He put his world back together
Ronnie said it was a one take deal....impressive
Yes its a cover for Papa Roach's last resort he asked Jacoby permission to do a reimagined version of this song and Jacoby gave his blessing
There is a video of Ronnie's showing Jacoby his version of Last Resort and Ronnie was so nervous
Cover and re-imagined are two completely different things and a cover this song ain't.

It's beautiful 😍
Great reaction RR! This is one of Ronnie's heaviest songs that he's done. The "Wish somebody would tell me I'm fine" line hits really hard.
Absolutely 💯

I wouldn't be surprised to see Ronnie producing movies down the road. More talent than most musicians these days.
