I think Ronnie gives the text the right, worthy framework. The Papa Roach version is too rocky for the seriousness of the lyrics. That's exactly what Ronnie conveys in this song, the pain and the fight with and against evil thoughts. Surely only people who have psychological problems and fight their demons every day can understand this. How often her mental world collapses and threatens to bury her. How many times do you think, “I can’t go on like this” and fight your way out, only to find again and again, “Nothing is okay.” But you keep fighting, every day. They fight with all their strength against being buried under their collapsing world. The sad thing is that too many people lose this battle, ultimately running out of strength and being buried under their collapsing world.
I think both songs hit differently depending on age and emotion. The original more like anger and threat (underlying youthfulness), this is more about depression and loneliness (a more aged and experienced). I think this song lies in a similar vein as Johnny Cash's rendition of Hurt (NIN), the tone and other changes add a different type of depth.
An undeniable ability to let you see it in a different light/aspect and I think the twist was amazing as well as the reaction from Pappas Roach as well. Also I've never been here on your page but have a lot of respect for it already. On top of that, the same goes to you as well if you ever need to reach out as well. I'll respond right away. Keep spreading the good message and always keep it real.
Ronnie killed it as always. While were on a reimagined song. You should check out Kasey Chambers cover of Eminems lose yourself, you wont be disappointed
So in my opinion the original was a teenager that was mad at the world around them and FIR'S version was that of an adult screaming for help from the world around them!!! Gotta say best cover of 2023!!!!
I loved watching your reaction to this song. I hope everything's ok with you & the fam since I noticed you haven't posted anything is quite some time. In case you're still doing reactions, Falling in Reverse has released 2 new tracks with (as usual) incredible videos. The 1st is called 'Ronald' ft Tech N9ne (which most know who he is lol) & Alex Terrible (from the band 'Slaughter To Prevail'), absolutely amazing. The newest song is called 'All My Life' ft Jelly Roll, that 1 is amazing as well.
3 weeks ago today I lost my youngest son, I was 15wks pregnant and went into early labor. There was no way to save him. This song came at the perfect time and has been pretty much on repeat for me. I carry my son's urn with me always and that also helps in a weird way. But yeah this is devastatingly beautiful
@@RobReacts22 thank you, I'm shattered and only being held together by love of my 4yr old son. He would've been such a good big brother. The urn came with a teddy bear that you can put the urn and keepsakes in, he calls it baby brother and brings it everywhere, and he's so protective and caring over it.
I wonder if there is going to be an album release with the videos building off each other like they do this one starting in what’s left of the burned world from watch the world burn
Your comment about it belonging on a soundtrack struck a chord. You may have reason to feel that way. Even if you don't do it as a reaction, Falling in Reverse uploaded a video of Ronnie showing this song to Jacoby before it was even mixed. It is a really neat video. I think it depends on the situation. A straight up cover is easier in the sense the song is written already. Sure there is the risk that people won't like it but that happens with new music too. As I previously stated, Ronnie showed Papa Roach what he did before he released it. Could you imagine what that would have been like? I mean, the video will show you but put yourself in his shoes before you watch it. Lol
FIR has dropped 3 more videos plus 3 more additional songs since this video which makes up the Popular Monster Album released in August. We would love for you to check out his latest work. You react and we’ll be here !!!
I do appreciate you man but I did delete all my social media used to follow you on Instagram and message you on there every now and then but I haven't in awhile because I deleted all my social media I'm done with it it's kind of annoying but just wanted to let you know I'm still here and I appreciate you for everything you do for us and these amazing reactions you put out
Theres a video out there somewhere with Ronnie showing Jacoby this song for the first time. Ronnie was shaking, he was so nervous but Jacoby loved it

It just hits so much harder this way. You can really tell this song means a lot to Ronnie. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

The words hit harder, more emotional, not so angst! Let the emotions roll.
It really hits so different, ronnie really made us feel how deep the lyrics are
the production of this gave me the chills (voice + visuals)
The original hit me super hard when I was a younger, still does. Just the emotions this releases is everything
Reimagined for the adults that lived through it but still struggle. Papa Roach hit the teenage me! This is me now!
