    These markers are amazing! You can find them on AliExpress. There's about 400 different colors and you can buy them individually, in entire color sets, or in sets that have complimentary colors. You can also purchase new nibs and they are refillable! And they made the caps fit on the ends so you don't lose them lol. You won't be disappointed.

      Are They Really Refillable? And You Can replace the Nibs? I'm trying to to find that info for the Black Markers which is over 400 Colors. Can You Direct me to a Link that Shows It is?

    Always love your reviews x3 I was actually really shocked by the number of greens and greys in this set. You don't normally see that. And the one hue of blue was kind of surprising too. (They were all so similar, you usually see some variety.) Rip that red, I saw that poor sucker first thing x''D So gorgeous, shame they didn't trade one of the greys or greens for it. Best of luck with your trip though, I'm sure it'll be a blast! :D

      Thank you, Sam! :) Yeah, the colors in this set were interesting, I could definitely see it working well for certain artists and not others. I felt myself missing some of those warm tones, but I really did enjoy the neutrals and blues in this set!

      The desaturatedness is to die for though. I wish more sets were like this. I prefer more nature/realistic colors so this looks great for that ^^

    Hi! Just wanted to let you know that they are no longer selling this product on amazon but thanks to the comment section I was able to find the exact set used in your video on Aliexpress. (for anyone curious it's the Animation Design 36 Set and it's being retailed for nearly $60 USD as of the end of January 2019)
    It has amazing reviews and I look forward to buying a set for myself and testing them out so thank you for putting out this video!

      Thank you for this update. Personally, I've never purchased anything from Alliexpress but I'm glad you were able to find that information in the copics! It seems like the price fluctuates considerably depending on the set and the retailer but I do stand behind my review of these markers as being a good value and a good introduction to alcohol based brush markers. They're a good starter set for those who aren't quite ready to invest in a more expensive brand.
      I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Best of luck with your new markers! :)

    Great thorough review! Your videos never disappoint. I love the art you did in the video as well :) I've been using markers for about the same amount of time as you. Though, I use a combination of my 10 year old Prismacolor set and year old Copic set. If I didn't already have most of the colors I needed, then I probably would have wanted to try these markers you reviewed. Oh, and have a great vacation!

    I have these finecolor markers with bullet nib on one side and a chisel nib on the other, and I like them! They have the same colors as you have. I’m glad that you have reviewed them. Do you know that they are refillable and the company have inks to refill too?
    I wanted to ask you what kind of paper do you use for this test?

    • @creative.and.caffeinated
      @creative.and.caffeinated  6 лет назад +1

      I'm glad to hear the bullet nib markers are also great quality! I had no idea they were refillable? Would you mind linking me to where you found that information? That would be really helpful for an upcoming project I'm working on!
      For the paper, I used Georgia Pacific cardstock for the swatches and Crescent Rendr no-bleed paper for the illustrations! Both worked well!

    Great review and art as usual!
    I was really curious about these! I only knew about the skin tone set though. :O Had I not just recently (finally) made the plunge for Copics, I'd totally splurge on these.
    Have good vacation!! 💖

    • @creative.and.caffeinated
      @creative.and.caffeinated  6 лет назад +1

      The skin tone set would be great for artists who are just starting out! I feel like it's a good size for someone to purchase and get a feel for working with brush nibs, and they are very versatile colors!
      However, making the jump to Copics ain't so bad either! If you know you like them, then I say go for it! Maybe mix and match different marker brands? And then only purchase the Copic colors that you use most often, that way you can buy refills!
      I feel like I don't say it enough in these videos, but I still strongly recommend Copics and stand by them as a brand. Using them for so many years has made me feel like I can use them as a comparison for lots of other marker brands, but at the end of the day, I will always reach for my Copics!!
      Glad you enjoyed the video! :)

    • @glitterglitched

      Amanda Elise Art I wish I would have known how good they were when I started using markers last year!
      Yeah! I have to say I am so, so happy to finally have Copics. They truly seem to be in a class all their own. So far I've bought colors I didn't have in my prismacolor collection but really wanted (like purples!). Also, thanks to you for the Copic video on dupes within the Copic collection itself (it helped a lot).
      I'll definitely keep your advice in mind when I'm able to add to my baby collection lol. Thanks!! 💖

    Nice review. Very helpful and to the point.
    Do the Finecolours fit the Copic airbrush?
    You pointed out the brush side is elongated compared to Copics however most folks use the chisel end with the airbrush system. Is the chisel end also elongated?

    • @creative.and.caffeinated
      @creative.and.caffeinated  6 лет назад +1

      This is a great question! I happen to be sitting at my desk and decided to test it out. The Finecolor (chisel end) does indeed fit the Copic airbrush system! Works exactly like Copics do too!

    This was so helpful and it's my first your video I'm watching. I think I'll buy these markers. For me, it's important that they are cheap since I don't earn money drawing yet, and it's important for me that they are available on AliExpress. These ones are.

    I’m curious about these as I’m looking for something to replace my Copics since their refillable inks are being discontinued for an unknown amount of time (major delay due to Covid). How would you describe the brush nib material? How has it’s durability held up since this video? Thanks!

    • @creative.and.caffeinated
      @creative.and.caffeinated  4 года назад +1

      In my experience, they seem plenty durable and the mobs are good quality. I think they are harder to find than Copics though, so if you already have Copics and are simply waiting on refills, it might be best to wait it out. It’s your call of course, but I’ve had a hard time tracking this brand down since making the video. If you’re looking for an equally high quality alternative that’s more widely available, I recommend blick, spectrum noir or Ohuhu.

    • @ryanswift2244

      Amanda Elise thanks so much for the quick response! I did manage to do some digging and found replacement ink, nibs and full marker sets at www.aliexpress.com/item/4000321636711.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.6ac93a98Yxop8e&algo_pvid=ae3bd21b-88ae-40b3-8537-2e621cd05b68&algo_expid=ae3bd21b-88ae-40b3-8537-2e621cd05b68-9&btsid=0ab6d67915870875685721292e7e94&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_,searchweb201603_ I’m just tying to find something inexpensive that I don’t have to sink a lot of cash into as a temporary alternative. Looks like retailers won’t be getting the new redesigned Copic inks to sell until Fall in the US😭

    • @ryanswift2244
      @ryanswift2244 4 года назад

      I have the brush set of Ohuhu and I do like them. The nibs are fraying on them pretty bad and that’s after using the reversed side of many of them. I also got some Art N Fly markers to try out

    • @oaktharas
      @oaktharas 4 года назад

      Ryan Swift now its sep. are you out already? As long as your copic is not completely dry, they can sit there for another 2-3 years. I’m sure the refill will come back soon. I can’t imagine they just decide, ok, we don’t make refill anymore forever. In that case, I don’t think anyone is buying copic no more if there are so expensive and disposable.

    Are these yosoo markers? I found the 168 yosoo marker set on amazon ans they were £45. Is it the right decision to get them?

    • @creative.and.caffeinated
      @creative.and.caffeinated  5 лет назад

      When I purchased these markers, they were under the brand name "Finecolour". After a quick search on Amazon, it does appear that a brand called Yosoo is selling Finecolour products. £45 seems like a good deal for 168 markers, but I would caution you to read the descriptions carefully. Check to see if the markers are alcohol based or water based. If they are water based, then they are NOT the ones I reviewed in this video. If they are alcohol based, then check to see if they have a bullet nib or a brush nib. Bullet nib markers are usually more affordable but the brush nib markers are usually exceptional quality.
      The markers I recommend are the Finecolour Alcohol-based Brush markers. To the best of my knowledge, they do not come in a set of 168. So Just be sure you read the product description carefully before buying. Best of luck!

      Besides, the people who buy my art really are my biggest supporters, sometimes they can't afford to spend the $$$ on an original, but if I can do a little something to make my art more accessible to them, then I'm happy to do so. But I really do apprieciate your concern!

      I appreciate the criticism, I often struggle to find a balance between scripting my videos or just making it up as I go along. Scripting parts of a video will usually ensure I get the most accurate information out in the least amount of time (though my reviews still tend to be pretty long). My other videos are a little less scripted/robotic sounding so you might enjoy those more! Either way, I appreciate you watching! :)
