Additional Tip: When you are adding your variables to Railway make sure you also add WEBHOOK_URL and apply the full the URL to your application. The reason to why this may be important to you, as an example, if you are looking to support callback's in to your n8n instance as this will be needed. For example if you are setting up oauth for Firebase you will need this variable for the call back to be successful when adding your Google Firestore credentials.
Learnt about n8n workflow from James NoCode channel but couldn't get it deployed with his railway tutorial and ended up costing me $4 just figuring it out. Watched your video, was so straight forward and addressed more issues he didnt. Love your style of teaching, so clear, thorough and caring!
Hey Lucas thank you so much for your kind words. Actually now n8n on railway deploys version 1 following the same steps so you even have the later version. Good luck.
hello, could you help me understand how and when to use this or that node and also could you help me understand how the workflows available on the site work because I don't don't understand since there is very little explanation
Hi. They are both providing similar functionality in terms of workflow automation. n8n is clearly the product which has been around for a longer period of time and has the benefit of self hosting. The cloud solution is equally good but this is a balancing act in terms of pricing. n8n has quite a number of hooks which can be used across other third party solutions such as record lookups in Supabase etc. Fastgen is certainly an emerging product with the added benefit of an integral database and user authentication which is improving all the time. I find the workflow automation canvas far easier to work with and feels more familiar to me. Debugging workflows is very quick. You also have event based triggers which are super easy to setup. Just one additional point. Community support within the Fastgen Slack channel is very good. If you have a difficulty they are pretty much on it which is fantastic. You need to study the cost across both solutions in terms of workflow executions as the pricing model is quite different. Hope this helps but both are good products.
Any thoughts how you can upgrade to the NEXT version (1.0) that just released to production? This railway template still uses the old one. I noticed it is not as simple as changing the docker file n8n version on top of the file. It will get stuck during migration or not run at all.
Hi yes absolutely. I am waiting for July 24th for the official 1.0 release. I'll inspect and look to do a follow-up video on moving to 1.0. I wanted to be patient.
hello I had some ideas regarding the automation of SEO and also image editing but I don't know if these ideas are feasible, could you give me your opinion, can I could I send you an email

can you provide a video on the new LLM Advanced AI nodes they have added?
Would you say n8n is a competitor to Fastgen in terms of what it provides or is this not a good comparison? Thanks!
