Royal League was a great idea but the execution was rather questionable. UEFA didn't fund it and the winner didn't get qualfied for Europe or anything, just a small cash price.. It crashed with the match program so they used their backup squads.. Barely any attendees and the at atmosphere at the stadiums was dull and boring.. Could have worked if they put a little more money and effort into it but sadly no.
