I have this invertor i use mine in an alternator generator setup it works great when the tree fell on my house and destoyed it i used this device for multiple days about 6 hours a day with out a single problem at all also this invertor works as long as it has 12 volts to 14.5 volts coming and it doesnt care where the voltage is coming from
I run mine on a bad battery without issue as long as the alternator supplies current not all invertors will run on a bad battery powered by an alternator my other invertor wont run on a bad battery so this invertor is the best for the money
Good young man. God has your back on that act of kindness.
How many amps can these do? I'm finding a lot of people are buying HIGH watt inverters that won't work on low watt devices because the amp ratings going through it are where the bottleneck is. So I have to ask about this. Will the model in your video actually work? Are you able to do watt ratings that it actually says?
Thank you.
Very nice that you care about other people. God Bless you as you go about your day. Cheers!
When the red light comes on, what does it mean ?
You over loaded it, and it trips a breaker/safely switch.. just disconnect from the battery and try again without putting too much resistance.. things that are power hungry will do this too
The fan turn on when the product is on?
Yes it’s normal. To keep the temperature inside down
Can i run a 400w with 120v space heater on it ? Its such a small heater ?
Wouldn’t work. It’ll shut off instantly. It pulls too much power at once. I tried to use a heat gun and it trip the breaker switch inside the inverter instantly. The 750 is too small of a unit.
Get the 2000w, 3000w or better yet the 5000w inverter
That’s good to see that inverter works pretty good. I bought the same one about a year ago but I haven’t used it yet. It hangs out behind the seat of my truck as a just in case thing.
Hell yeah man, definitely something that will come in handy once in while
Same here
You didn't state in the video what the wattage, power for the drill was... that makes the video not really usable for people trying to do a calculation for their own measurements and their own devices.
Title says unbox/test.. not “I tell you the amps, specs and everything”. Figure it out
💯🤔🤔 guaranteed if you didn't use a drill from 1980s. It's proficiency and performance will go up 100%🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣👊🏼👍🏼THX
Seems to be a pretty decent bit of kit. Restores my faith in Centech a little. Also props to you for returning the wallet, good on you man.
Yeah man, I’m still using it these days for that same drill, and it’s worth the $40 big time! Only if it lasts a year or so, the price is still cheap enough to buy another for another year lol so far so good. And thanks man yeah when I seen all of his important info, my heart sank feeling bad for him.. I would go nuts if it happened to me, but I wear a wallet chain lol
the lady at the front desk called him because they had his info because he was a resident there, and she said he was literally screaming of joy over the phone lol it was awesome
@@IntegraDIY Awesome that you returned it man. And it also paid for half of the inverter. A win win.
How's the inverter doing
FYI ... I have one of these units that I plug into my portable battery charger too (haven't tried it on my car battery yet). Being female but in the construction industry, secretary, I'm learning that there are many things I can do on my own and I'm loving the freedom of that. I make sure that all of my power tools match
Best part of the video was returning the wallet. Great job . The video helped out as well
I love mine. I keep a fully charged truck sized battery in my house and use these small inverters for lights, charging cell phones and such during power outages. This 750w inverter won't power any heater or microwave but will do fine for small electronics. Portable DVD players and such. I used to own HF's 2000w Chicago Electric's inverter and it worked well for about a year. Then it was a paper weight. That was 7 years ago so it looks like they've improved quality.
I had a 400 watt piece of crap inverter that the fan ran continuously and interfered with my hd antenna in my rv and could not get one channel when tv was powered by the inverter so i bought hf 750 watt and my tv antenna works perfect lots of channels and the fan does not run at all...thanks for the video.
Maybe I can use my vacuum
Won’t work. Vacuums draw too much energy.. if you want to use a vacuum, you need the $150 inverter.. I tried using a HF vac and gets tripping the breaker
Came across this video searching for the newer Jupiter unit at harbor freight. Looking to attaching to my hybrid battery in rear of Ford escape.
Thanks for doing good deed and getting that wallet to person !!
Would this run a 1/3HP sump pump that runs intermittently; ie, maybe once every 15 minutes in 5-second intervals (enough to empty a 5 gallon bucket?)
Roger Pyle I’m very sure this will inverter will work for you. I powered a high speed angle grinder for 30 minutes without tripping the breaker, so I’m sure it’ll work for a pump like that
Find out the specs of your pump & get edumucated on amps & watts on youtube ... you old Pyle Driver Roger & out
Divide wattage by voltage to get your amp draw
Groovy to know
So will these hold up for something like 40 Amps? I need one that's cheap that can handle 40 amps based on 480 watts divided by 12Volts... (12 Volt system). Want to run a small midget AC that's about 450 watts.)
Thx.Need something to run some tools.
Any ideas on how well it works connected to solar panels for rv?
Having a hard time understanding set up to 2 batteries
Definitely get something with 1000watts or higher.. this is only good for like a lamp or a drill.. RV’s need bigger better equipment to handle the extra power of a TV, blender, multiple lights etc etc. and the battery.. definitely look up more videos about hooking up battery’s. I do know you will need the panels, charge controller, inverter and battery’s.. the charge controller will make sure the panels don’t over charge the battery’s in the sun.
Your a good man brother
how long does the charge last?
It doesn’t charge. It converts 12v to 120v so you can use house appliances using your car
It was awesome to see a good deed in the video. Props to you.
I know it’s a old video but how in the hell did you come up with a flood light and then a blender??? Lol
My uncle lives off grid in the middle of the desert, when I’m visiting him I always need to use a 120v appliance or tools. So i was speaking for more of a camping perspective which is why I bought this.. mainly to provide quick power, where city power isn’t available for 40+ miles
I found one of those in a car in the tow yard it was be B2 heck I owned it for 5 years never used it the power went out last month and I ran my mom's refrigerator off of it for 6 hours
I had an older refrigerator that would not start on this inverter, then i tried my newer model 26 cu ft french door fridge and it ran great all day with the car battery on the floor next to the frig.
Very happy till i hooked it up backwards to the battery one day, took about half a second to pop some capacitors inside and who knows what else. Maybe i can fix it.
Now HF doesnt carry them anymore !!!
Thanks for this video. I put a small 2 ton manual winch on the back of my truck, and have a cordless drill to run it. But it runs so long, cause the gearing is so low, it wears on the lithium battery. Was thinking of your set-up for an electric drill, and drive it off the trucks batteries. (Also, good for you for returning the wallet.) Thanks again for posting.
I love the ability to provide for yourself. I invest in butane stoves, propane and butane tanks, battery packs, inverters, generators, ect. All for times of emergency. I tell you this 750w unit works well and is priced just as well. No it won't power a microwave or hair dryer but is great for lights and small electronics. Get the 100w HF solar panel kit, an inverter and some 12v batteries and you have yourself a nice small backup for temporary power. Yes that small system will cost you like around $500 to assemble but it's a great hobby and education as well as an emergency source of small range power. You can buy a portable battery station but they last tops 5 years and they're considered dead money afterwards. I bought an expensive Xantrax power station and it worked well for like 2 years, then it wouldn't hold a charge. There's no consumer replacement parts for such things so it too was trash. That was $300 down the drain.
So how much wattage would it take to equal a power outlet?
Most of the stuff you’ll use the inverter for will range from 80-450watts. 110v at 5amps is around 550watts
@@IntegraDIY oh ok, so that 400 watt inverter is pretty close to a power outlet then. Just wondering because I need one for a project I'm working on. I've watched plenty of videos on how to make one but they usually don't explain what the functions of each part are so it's hard to understand. They just put it together with some crazy music in the background lol.
John Ruscigno the inverter in my video is 750w, it’s more than enough power, to power drills and saws, or lights
Wonder if this inverter will run a electric weed trimmer?
Itll definitely run an electric weedeater just fine, good thing about these inverters is if you overload it, itll automatically shut off and you'll have to disconnect it and reconnect it and you'll be able to go again. But if you are think of running it for a long period of time, probably would be best to get the slightly better 1000W for $85.. itll probably be better for you.. make sure to keep your vehicle running while using the inverter or else you'll train the battery quick..
That's funny!
Dalful?
for small things is a relief and more if you are far from a power outlet.
Yep!! Gonna be perfect for my desert camping trips!
I praised you for the wallet return. I just wish you provided the total wattage of the drill. Also, it would have been great to let the drill run for at least ten minutes to determine if the inverter stopped working due to thermal shutdown.
Good man !
I can run my 40 tv and Xbox off it
