Almost 10 years ago when this song came out and we know what came with the release of Awakening. Such a badass album with great bangers. Now I feel nostalgic.
I wish they would've kept this sound after awakening but just improved on it. I couldn't get into any of their stuff after this album. Just wasn't the same anymore.

Blessthefall is FOR SURE, the most talanted band out there in this genre. The instrumental part is ridiculously good.
That breakdown is so epic. And it sounds amazing when you have a subwoofer. I heard them play this at Warped a few years ago and was standing right next to the speaker stacks. It about blew my eardrums.

why do so many bands have the same setup as this one, a lead screamer and a chorus/backup singer that sounds like a girl a bit? don't try to deny this, it is true.
Because the screamer usually can't do clean vocals the best so they have a back up clean vocalist. Screaming fucks with your vocal chords if you don't learn how to do it right from early on. If you do it wrong for a while, it can make clean vocals harder to do. I think it's a good idea. But yes, sometimes the backup clean singers vocals can be a bit girly in any band that does this setup really.
I think it just adds more diversity in the song. Higher voice are usually more “soothing” and so having a higher voice doing cleans separates it from the more aggressive parts of the song with screaming. It’s a really good idea if you think about tbh
