I wish they would've kept this sound after awakening but just improved on it. I couldn't get into any of their stuff after this album. Just wasn't the same anymore.

why do so many bands have the same setup as this one, a lead screamer and a chorus/backup singer that sounds like a girl a bit? don't try to deny this, it is true.
Because the screamer usually can't do clean vocals the best so they have a back up clean vocalist. Screaming fucks with your vocal chords if you don't learn how to do it right from early on. If you do it wrong for a while, it can make clean vocals harder to do. I think it's a good idea. But yes, sometimes the backup clean singers vocals can be a bit girly in any band that does this setup really.
I think it just adds more diversity in the song. Higher voice are usually more “soothing” and so having a higher voice doing cleans separates it from the more aggressive parts of the song with screaming. It’s a really good idea if you think about tbh

3:29 till the end of the song are the best guitar parts ever ! That intro and riff in the chorus that repeats over top of a riff sound amazing in To Hell and Back ! I'm hooked on both these songs cause of that !
Blessthefall is honestly way too under rated I don’t understand why. I get their sound has maybe change a little but they still have that blessthefall vibe and sound to them verses them changing their sound completely like some of my favorite band’s ended up doing these guys deserve a much larger following and I am so thankful they haven’t strayed too far from their unique high energy heavy breakdown sound
