The difference I see is that Africa gets infrastructure and training in exchange for its resources. This is fair trade. Help from China has many times been for free like the Tanzania Zambia railway in the 1950s and the current ongoing debt forgiveness. The West gave peanuts for Africa's resources and continues its stealing spree in Iraq, Libya, Syria, Sudan etc.

The difference I see is that Africa gets infrastructure and training in exchange for its resources. This is fair trade. Help from China has many times been for free like the Tanzania Zambia railway in the 1950s and the current ongoing debt forgiveness. The West gave peanuts for Africa's resources and continues its stealing spree in Iraq, Libya, Syria, Sudan etc.
