This practice has been run over 50~60 years, thats how Western World keep Africa poor. China‘s BRI project is only 10 years old, and only consist of 12~15% of total African debt. If anyone wants to blame for "Debt Trap", its a Debt Trap from Western world.

The USA and Europe have been actively discouraging construction of such factories in Africa and force the countries into deals to sell their resources for pennies on the dollar with little to no taxes.
