Those gliders really do make those Orecks work so much faster, I love them and always use them on any carpet or rug cleaning. Gliders are going to be the greatest invention to come into this industry soon as they are discovered by all the bonnet cleaners. Gliders in the past were only used to prevent tipblooming or to help low powered machines get started when you turned on the power button so they never really made a difference to very many people because they were thought of as a tool for low powered machines or tipblooming prevention on wool carpets but once the cleaners realize that gliders do so much more than they are known to do they will take off and be one of the greatest assets you can use with your machines, all machines, rotary or orbital, and become the greatest upgrade you can do to any machine and all for under $30.00 if you buy one from a carpet cleaning store or for practically free if you make them from stuff you purchase from a regular store.
Agreed! I LOVE these things, especially with the Oreck as it can be VERY AGGRESSIVE on wool and silk. A carpet glider is an essential item to have. The 2nd video I made to the channel was how to make a carpet glider as a matter of fact lol! ruclips.net/video/4rfEvxeO38o/видео.html I need to make one for the 175, but it is hard to find something wide enough and rigid enough, so it won't fail from the 100 pound plus weight of the machine.
Yes, I love them as well! I made a video a while back on how to make one. ruclips.net/video/4rfEvxeO38o/видео.html I actually left one at a job last week ( dam hour away too ) so I need to make a few more as I am down to 1 left atm. I will make another video soon when I do make them. This time I will use a CD to make one, I like the CDs as they bend and give a little, plus they are super thin, so you do get a bit more of an aggressive cleaning vs a thicker one in my opinion.
@@ProCleanersCarpetCleaning I like to g to any paint department at any department store where they keep the paint cans and different sized lids and get my plastic there because CD's can be brittle and break when they hit a transition of air conditioner vent but the paint can lids are super strong poly plastic and flexible and they will ride up a transition or air conditioner vent instead of bouncing off or breaking. My channel shows some of these gliders because I liked them so well that I made a how to make video of the specific lids I buy that are available at all paint supply areas of all stores that sell paint supplies.
Green Dragon is a good product, and I think the PH is 8 or 8.5 which is great for wool. They just have to put that disclaimer on the container to protect their asses. I don't like to use anything over 9. I use Carpet Details on all my wool cleanings, the PH is 8.1. It is a great product, and I have NEVER had any issues with it. Works great for Urine Stains! Odoban is a good product to use on wool as well and a way cheaper product by far with a PH of 7. Also keep in mind that once you mix with water the PH will most likely go up a little too, unless they have a water softener. So, you should keep that in mind with anything you are mixing...especially on wool.
@@ProCleanersCarpetCleaning I won't be doing any cleaning for several months though. Can't barely lift my Kenmore Stratus portable vacuum at the moment lol.
Where can you purchase a glider (I reside in the UK) and how did you attach it to the pad? You attached out of camera so I couldn't see how you attached it.

Great vid. Im nervous to try my hand at wool. Green Dragons says its wool safe but the "test first" part brings that into question for me.
