Cleaning area rugs is a breeze with the RotoSETT Rotary.
Yes, indeed it is! Such a versatile piece of equipment to have. I will tell you Robin, I do NOT miss HWE whatsoever. I am happy to say that I am in love with my rotary. Is that wrong? lol!
@@ProCleanersCarpetCleaning I get it, my friend Roger was HWE and he does not miss lugging the hoses, pushing the wand and dealing with the expense.
Good to know another good detailed SETT cleaner is a little north of me. 🙂 I'm down in Dupage County. Occasionally, I get service requests from Lake County and out your way, but like you, I try not to drive too far either.
Ya, your a bit too far...( Thank God! lol j/k ) I used to get in your area quite a bit when I was In Des Plaines. I have a few clients in Elmhurst, and Naperville that I still do just because their homes are gigantic, and worth the 2 plus hours of driving. I try to stay within 20 miles or less. Cool to see another local company up on You tube though I will say ha ha!
Good video, I never would’ve thought of using a blue cleaner pad on carpet. That is an aggressive pad. I’m assuming to only use this pad on a polyester or maybe a nylon?
Thank you! Yes, it is a pretty aggressive pad, but I only use it on residential carpeting as a last resort. In this case, the owner told me to do whatever it took to clean it even if it meant ruining the carpet. He said worst case, he would have to replace it anyways so I could only make it better. This was Berber and I really thought that this pad was going to tear it to shreds. I was very surprised that it held up to this pad. I would always just be very careful if using this pad. I have used it on nylon with great results as well.
What’s the name of the sprayer you’re using?
Its a WORKS cordless 320 PSI Power Washer
This cleaned up great! Love seeing the pads.
Thank you!
👏👏👏👍
Thank you!
Man, that was awesome! Used two SETT machines to clean those stairs! Nice!💯👍
Thanks 👍 I wish the Oreck would get the risers, but that little 7" works great for them!
Great work yet again!
Thank you , i appreciate that!
Great job! BTW challenger opp website sale a pad driver just for oreck orbiter made with Velcro. I bought one and I'm so glad I did! 100 times better than the oreck stock pad driver.
Yes, I thought I the Velcro one when I hauled all my crap in, I didn't want to go all the way out to the van to get it so I used this one. Yes, that Velcro one is nice! I can usually push it from stair to stair without stopping the machine and it will hold the extraction pad. This one is more like the pad for the rotary, has the little spikes. Only thing I don't like about that Velcro pad is man it gets crap stuck to it CONSTANTLY lol! Pain to keep cleaning it.
Your Prespray is so good!
Thanks!
Nice job. On my worx sprayer I got the short lane and I also turned the jet vertical so I can spray like I’m using a hydro force sprayer with a more natural sweeping motion. I just used a sharp screw driver to twist the jet vertical. Might help
Thank you! Ya, after I bought the one I have now they came out with that shorter wand version. I do like that one better. I will eventually replace the one I have with that shorter wand as well. You are right, it is very much like the hydro force sprayer. Def much better version than the one I am using no doubt.
Great job! 👍🏿 I was wondering if you charge by the square footage or per room, and what are your rates? Im starting to do more "SETT" jobs and was wondering if I'm in the ball park or if I need to go higher.
Thats AWESOME!! Grats to you on the change. It was one of the best discissions Iv made by far when I decided to go from HWE to SETT. Unfortunately, I do not discuss pricing on the channel. I've seen other people do it and it usually doesn't go very well. If you want to email me though, I would be happy to discuss it and hear your story. You can email me at Pro_cleaners.restoration@yahoo.com
Good results, What chemical did you use it?
Thank you, this was a tough one to get out, took some time. The steamer helps tremendously. POG, and Release. The Release it is a local product from a local company. You could prob find a similar product, its purpose is to NOT let the stain spread out as you try to get it out. POG is pretty common to find so you shouldn't have any issues with that one.
How much did you price it for
Unfortunately, I do not discuss pricing. Especially since prices can vary GREATLY from state to state, as well as the level and quality of the service provided. I can say that I do charge by the square foot though, residential or commercial.
What was your reasoning for using the non scrub pad first and the Agitation pad second?
i used a hog hair fiber pad to scrub. As for the extraction pad, yes, I did use a scrub pad. The reason for that was because this was my second job, and I left my bag with my pads at my first job. I happen to have the green scrub pad and a dirty microfiber pad in the van, so I had to improvise lol!
@ProCleanersCarpetCleaning thought it was your new process lol. BTW, where do you get hogs hair pad
@@JetPackDiddy No, Im just an idiot and left a bag with 12 different pads at a job. At least I didnt have another job after this one. It was about 35 mins to get back to that first job to retrieve my bag. I got this particular pad on Amazon.
What are you spraying with? It looks like that makes the job a lot quicker, I use that pump zero battery powered but the psi on that one is too low.
I use a WORX cordless power washer. I think its 320 PSI. I bought the lowest PSI one I could find. It still corks out way to much I think. As long as you spray quickly it works ok. The reason I bought a WORX was simply because I have 4 other tools that are WORX and I can use the batteries on all of them. They are all 20V batteries. Ya, pump up sprayers just don't cut it for bigger jobs. Even the battery powered ones in my opinion.
😍😍😍😍😍
🙏🙏🙏🙏
Great work, Ken!!!
Thank you, Brandon! Been liking that little rotary scrubber you got. That thing works like a charm it seems!
What Agitation pad is that
I used a microfiber scrubbing pad to scrub, and a regular microfiber pad to extract.
Couch didn’t look bad in beginning of video lol
It was pretty bad. I think the problem was that I was in a dark barn, so it didn't really show how dirty it actually was on camera. It did turn out pretty nice though and my client was extremely happy so that's what matters!
Hello l, What kind of brush did you use?
@@Miranomasquechulada I used an upholstery brush. Or a horsehair brush would work as well.
😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you! I was wondering what happened to you, as I have not heard from you in a long time. I do hope all is well with you.
It's hard to describe how dirty the pads actually get
Agreed! When my clients see the pads, they usually cringe lol! Even on what "looks" like clean carpet sometimes the pads come out real dirty.
great video buddy
Thank you sir! The upstairs was NASTY!!! This one was real fun! ruclips.net/video/NFzA8Z2FPfE/видео.html
Hi, just wondering about the Mytee Eco….what do you find are some of the benefits of using this machine for commercial work?
I really only use it on larger areas as it does clean so much faster with less fatigue. I will also use it on those nasty jobs commercial or residential as that machine is absolutely wonderful at digging in deep!
You got out some tough stains! Amazing!
Thanks! Love these kinds of jobs! When you hear your client say, "WOW" or "AMAZING," there is great satisfaction in that!!! But, you know this already being at the top of the food chain yourself my friend!
@@ProCleanersCarpetCleaning my friend, you are too kind! I’m watching you do unrivaled work and learning as I watch!👍🙏
@@bmcarpetcleaningandfloorca4410 Now who is being kind lol?! I have seen some of the nasty crap you have cleaned! I was a HWE guy until I started watching your videos lol! Then I found Cory, then Robin. You my friend where the one who started me on this path. 👏👏👏
@@ProCleanersCarpetCleaning wow! That means a lot to me!🙏🙏🙏
Do you not use the oreck anymore?
I do use it. I just use it on smaller jobs or on a 2nd level where they have wood stairs. The 175 doesn't go up and down stairs very well. The job I am doing really dictates the machine I use.
Great video!
Thanks!
This was so satisfying to watch. May you show how much dust you collected in the vacuum next time?
Thank you!
Came out real good with that hogs hair, are you using the original Oreck driver or the modified Velcro driver for it ?
Thanks! No, the original one I got with it was Velcro. There was so much crap stuck to it that it no longer would hold the pads. Ordered one off Amazon. Like this one better as its more like the driver on a 175 it has little spikes instead of Velcro. Crap doesn't get stuck to it as easily.
Do you charge by room or square feet? Also, how do you charge for steps?
I charge by the sf. For stairs I have a flat fee.
Nice work!
By the way a glider can be helpful on some carpets and make the Rotary glide easier as you clean.
Thanks! I enjoyed this one, I always like a challenge.
I know, I use them on my Oreck. I have not made one for the 17" as it just glides for the most part. One reason I love using a 175, it's pretty effortless to operate. I should make one though. My problem in this situation was my pad was too big and I could not get it centered for some reason, so it kept "wobbling" around.
@@ProCleanersCarpetCleaning You rarely need one for the Rotary but on some carpets they can really help.
You took a lot time 😅
It was pretty dirty, had to be thorough.
I used my Rotovac 360! 3 in one
Never used one before.
Masterful work as always!
Thanks, I really appreciate that!
Hogs hair to agitating?
yes, I am using a hog hair pad
@ProCleanersCarpetCleaning so for this instance, you use hog hair because the carpet wasn't as soiled. while other videos you used the black/ green oreck scrub brush. It's that because this time it wasn't as soiled as the cat lady?
@@ProCleanersCarpetCleaning .
@@JetPackDiddy Any of them will pretty much accomplish the same thing depending on the scenario / situation The hog hair pad is good for mild or dirty carpets as it is a pretty aggressive pad. It works particularly well on Berber. I will use the green brush ( Oreck ) on denser thicker carpet, especially if I want to work in a solution to help with odors. Every situation is different and will determine the way you will clean.
The RotoSETT machine is ideal for cleaning area rugs, good job!
Great work, Ken! Very methodical cleaning with unrivaled results as always!
Thank you sir!
Thanks for the upload. Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Great Video!!!
Thanks!
what type of spray did you use? was there a residue afterwards?
I used Odoban neutral floor cleaner, it has a low PH so no need to rinse as it leaves no residue.
Does this suffice for the majority of jobs?
What chemical did you use for this? I want to try vlm t&g for a client I have coming up but need something not so high on the Ph but that can still clean up the grout.
I used Carpet Details on it. It has a ph of 8.5. It is pretty oxygenated as it is, but I still boosted it with 1/2 cup of peroxide / gal as these lines were pretty badly soiled.
@@ProCleanersCarpetCleaning so would you say I’d be safe with a neutral floor cleaner and just boost it with some peroxide to help it clean the grout lines better?
@@BUCKSHOTSTV If I didn't have the Carpet Details I probably would have used Odo-ban Neutral floor cleaner. The "professional" version, its green compared to the residential version which is clear. And for the peroxide go to Sallys Beauty Supply (if you have one by you) and get a gallon of Clear 20 Perroxide. Its 13% compared to the stuff you get at your super market which is i think 3%. Or you could boost it with Oxy
@@ProCleanersCarpetCleaning awesome, yes I have some peroxide from Sally’s that I use already when I need to really get some tough stains out. I normally hwe but I’m really trying to get into the vlm/sett method to reduce water usage when I can. It pains me to see how much water is used on T&G jobs, so that’s especially where I want to reduce water usage.
@@BUCKSHOTSTV I did HWE for over 10 years, switched to strictly low moisture a year ago this month actually. You are on the right path, especially since more and more people are trying to help the environment more and more. I predict in the future HWE guys will struggle more to find work. Low moisture uses no gas, more eco-friendly / pet friendly cleaning agents, and by far uses less water. Not to mention we have no wastewater to dump either. There are 30 HWE companies in my area. There are only 4 strictly Low moisture companies including myself.
Hello, what kind of pad did you use to mop after scrubbing?
I do not know the exact name of them sorry. I will have to try and find that one out for you. I bought my 20 inch 175 used and the guy gave me 6 pad drivers, and about 12 different kinds of bonnets with it. This one was one of them, he gave me 4 of these. They have the "mop" like threads on them, very absorbent. I will try and find out the actual name of them if I can
What sprayer is that?
It is a WORX 320 PSI cordless pressure washer.
What’s you’re prespray solution? I bought a traditional 175 and an OP machine that comes in next week. I’m trying to learn the sett method for 2 hotels I picked up mid month. I want to practice before deciding on what chem to buy
Congrats on your purchases!!! Its not hard to learn. I was a hwe guy since 2007. Made the switch a year ago this month to go strictly low moisture. Best discission I have made! I encaped this job. It was cheaper for the client than doing a 'DEEP CLEAN." I used angry lemon on this job.
Thats to bad that your Oreck quit working. i have been using them for about 12 years and I'm on my third one right now but its going strong and I see it lasting for many more years because I use it with a glider and that completely takes any strain off the motor or relay. I saw you have a different pad driver for your Oreck, does it tear up bonnets like the normal Oreck pad driver does or does it just grip the bonnets without doing any damage.
Ya it sucks! It was pretty old though so I can't complain. I actually just ordered that pad driver as the "original" one is so full of lint and debris the pads are not sticking to it that well any longer. So far, I like it, it holds the pads well and has not torn up my pads as of yet. I have only used microfiber pads on it though, so we will see what it does to a cotton pad. Those tend to get messed up easier.
@@ProCleanersCarpetCleaning I have my original pad driver that is about 12c years old and it grabs the pads enough to hold them but not tear them up when removed from the pad driver. I also homemade a velcro pad driver out of another oreck pad driver that I use pretty much all the time because it works so great. I only use the original pad driver for oreck and Ironman bonnets because they give off to much lint for my velcro driver. My velcro driver is great with microfibers and any cotton pads like glad pads or challenger pads.
