Your video has changed my view on show trucks. The dedication you need to put in to clean a working truck is next level. It also highlights the expense of going to the show with a loss of earnings to clean it. Then, the cost to get to the show and more loss of earnings.
Loss of earnings a company like them that can absorb it not practical for a small haulier who cant afford to sit trucks down and yes sandy is a small haulier but he is only himself that can weekend himself out at these shows simply not practical when paying men a wage and trying to keep the business running no hate towards campbell his family have worked hard for what they have and its not always been show trucks and success but all people see is the flash and cash and think that owning a truck means instant success and overnight millionaire
@@ciderant to be fair, most of the people that go to extreme efforts at these shows keep on top of their stuff weekly to very high standards. We are new to the shows so aren’t at that level as you can see. It’s not really a loss of earnings though, any time of cleaning this if I wasn’t cleaning it I’d be in the workshop so not earning either. The cost of getting to the show, yes the diesel is costly but most people will have a load organised to get paid to travel close to the show, and then the show is over the weekend anyway which you wouldn’t be working because of drivers hours. Although just a note, there is a loss of earnings every single day in haulage in breakdowns, delays etc. If you can’t afford to go to a show then god knows how you would survive anything else.
@campbellmcfadyen That is true about everyday road haulage. I congratulate you (and everybody else who exhibits at a show)on your devotion and detail to go to the shows. I do hope that in the future, you will get more awards for your fleet as you definitely deserve it. I have seen a lot of your wagons over the years and have been impressed with how well your drivers look after them and take pride in driving them. I also look forward to seeing where your RUclips channel can get to in the future👍
@@campbellmcfadyen that comment i left was in no way directed at you in any negative way was more to people who think it is that easy for small hauliers to just prep and park up for a show they think its all lights pipes and durabrites they see the regular big hauliers attending these shows and automatically assume everyone who owns a truck or trucks are millionaires then you also have the drivers who glorify the big tang cowboy lifestyle then post up about haulage firms looking for drivers and weaponise it against them to make them look bad im sure you and your family have experience with they kind of idiots nobody’s immune to it just annoying when you read some of the comments from the rockets of the haulage industry
Mate......it has to be highlighted the hardwork and dedication that goes into owning and maintaining one of these bad boys. Hats off to you for that next, next level of cleaning! I know its required for your visit to Drifterstyle and hope it paid off. I wouldnt want to put it back out on the road after that 'half a shift' pretend cleaning😂😂😅 Great video mate👍
Hi Campbell it's great to see you back again, ye did an amazing job cleaning the longline, it looks fantastic, the wing tops look great too, you'll have to paint the other ones for your truck now, i hope you and the family have a great weekend
Thats some effort into cleaning everything,iv often thought about taking of my trucks wheels to clean the inside but after watching this ill be giving that a miss 😂
No wonder you were missing in action 😂 hiding the evidence of all the shortcuts. Well done on "best interior "👏👏 Sandy bet you to the post in releasing the video first. Seen a few boys from the south of Ireland 🇮🇪 up there, too. Jas mc Carthy has an impressive fleet. Barna , Ward, and Gallen, who is a local specialist haulage company here in kildare. Great video. I can't wait for part 2. Keep it safe and all the best from Ireland 🇮🇪 👍
Lorries are for working not tyre kicking. Used to be given loads of free tickets for truck fest etc from vehicle manufacturers etc Volvo, Daf even Hino but have them away to our drivers and friends.

I thought those inner rims would be cleaner than they are because the wagon is on drums and not discs! Shows what I (don't) know.
Glad to see you back Campbell. Enjoy your Sunday mate 😊
Thanks mate
To clean those wheels and get that crap off, use Harpic Black, will have those wheels spotless
Aka: acid
Love the video and truck, can you get them in 1: 50 model ?? Would defo buy one , thanks again
@@neilk9655 they were done a few years ago, very rare now
Best suggestion is to search on the bay of fleas.
Where did you do your hgv training
How comes you haven't got a electric cab tipper ? Lad surely would be alot easier

Some effort, and time to do that, fairplay
