I consider MGM Grand sort of like my home resort, since that's where I stayed on my first two Vegas trips. You're right about the scale, it takes a long time to walk from one side to the other (as well as a long time to find the craps tables on the casino). Among the food options, I liked Wolfgang Puck's and Emeril's, though Emeril's is a bit pricy. Liked Losers bar, though.
Hi Jay! I have always loved the MGM Grand; it truly is. Never stay in the West Wing, OMG! That use to be another hotel years ago, and MGM Grand purchased it and added it to the property, that is why the walk takes forever! Thank you for sharing! CAB 😊
Absolutely agree with your comprehensive review of MGM Grand! I wish they would have food choices along the lines of Cosmo and Planet Hollywood! They need a Secret Pizza of some sort and an Earl of Sandwich there! The hotel is massive but so is their lazy river pool which doesn’t disappoint. What does disappoint is the selection at their buffet 😖 Love the location in proximity to Top ⛳️! PS…speaking of Reggie Miller, my favorite Reggie Miller story is his come behind win against the Knicks where he carried the Pacers (scoring 8 points in 8.9 seconds) to win the game was awesome! He was on 🔥! Thanks Jay Jay for this MGM review and happy travels to you! Have a great week! 😎
Thanks Mary! They need an entire makeover of better cheap eats there. Everyone will just go to PH. haha i was never a fan of Reggie Miller being a kobe and MJ fan
20-30 years ago we stayed at the MGM for a week every Summer 5 or 6 times. Loved it every time. Our favorite thing about the property was the cabanas on the Lazy River, not cheap but 100% worth it!!! We would spend much more time in the cabana than the room. The food there is okay, the buffet is average, but it is Vegas, there are a million places to eat, so I don't care about that. Not a great place to gamble, I used to go across the street to Trop to play low limit BJ, the wife played Video Poker, I guess it was fine. We had a lot of fun at the "City Of Entertainment" and the only reason we don't stay there anymore is we live in Las Vegas now.
Great Review Jaycation of the MGM Grand. I absolutely love their pool here. I’m gonna have to remember that pieology is there. I love that place too. Also, I didn’t know they have a mansion inside there. I know they have the 2 story rooms which I have yet to stay in. Looking forward to it one day.
I've booked a night there for the first time and this assured me I made the right choice. Wish I could stay longer. Just subscribed! Thanks for the information!
Thank you for the review. Staying here next week. Been to Vegas dozens of times but avoided the MGM Grand because it is massive. Had an offer too good to refuse. I'm most excited for the lazy river! We don't eat here much, but we have been to Wolfgang Pucks Bar and Grill several times and it has been great. We like it for a quick, easy lunch.
International Smoke is decent but it used to be a restaurant/bar that had an amazing PB&J crunch burger, miss that place. Agree that their buffet is just ok. But still love the MGM Grand. My go to for a stay on the strip. Nice review!
All the paparazzi jewelry sales persons will be staying there late this summer so we’re all looking up MGM Grand and entertain things nearby & safest cheapest way to travel to things nearby to see if you please Jay🤗
What is it about the food options you don't like? We have had some very good meals at CraftSteak, Morimoto and L'Atelier (amazing.) Emerils is good as well. Joel Robuchon is at the highest level in Vegas dining.
good morning few months later in May as when I joined you and I love everything you do and I like you and I'm sure I'm going to stay with you thanks for the tour I'm 88 and I don't get around that much anymore and this makes me feel like I'm out in the round the 88 after my name is because I'm 88 but I don't seem like it and people say I don't look like it's so so thanks for the video🎆🎇🎊
@@Jaycation stayed at the mgm twice this year January and April. Loved it Maybe they were having a bad day. One more thing before 11 most of the restaurants in the food court serve a pretty decent breakfast and they all serve coffee for people that don’t like Starbucks.
I've never stayed at the MGM Grand, it's too crowded and the rooms are way outdated. I prefer more modern hotels like Resorts World, Aria, Cosmopolitan and Wynn/Encore. The only time I'd go to MGM is to eat at Morimoto, one of the best sushi restaurants in Vegas.
@Alejandro Have you stayed at Resorts World? I don't know what your definition of beauty but I think Resorts World is a beautiful hotel. I've stayed there a few times already.
@Alejandro You just described most of the major resorts on the Strip. Have you stayed there yet? I stayed at the one bedroom suite at Conrad and Crockfords and they're quite comfortable and beautiful, to me at least.
@Alejandro So, your hate for the place is that you don't like the color scheme? You know that originally it's going to be an all Chinese theme hotel right? I ask again, have you stayed at any of their rooms? Especially their suites?
How strict are they with the no outside food and drink policy? Just booked them and didn’t even realize they had that. I usually like to bring a pizza into my room. Afraid they’ll not allow that.
Just got back from my stay at the MGM Grand. Worst experience I ever had with a hotel. Too much to even get into. Paid for 2 strip view rooms, got to look and listen to the taxi stand. Employee walked in unannounced.Maids knocked on door at 10 p.m. our 1st night and asked if we were checking out. Bathroom mirror lights were broken. Second day we came back to room and couldn't get into my son's room, he has special needs and needed his meds, the keys wouldn't work, down to the desk, was told we were a no show, questioned how we got keys, (we got them at checkin.), told we had to go wait in another line (30 mins) to straighten it out before we got in trouble.(trouble? For paying in full 4 months in advance?). That is half the issues we had in the first 2 days, we stayed 5 days, the problems continued.
@@Jaycation The last time we were in MGM (fall) this dude came in the casino with his trump swim trunks , one shoe and a big ass life size beer can. He was so drunk it was funny as hell and his southern accent cracked me up. Security told him go to his room and put some clothes on and asked him where his other shoe was. That was another funny conversation.
your stuff’s always been really informative and aided me a lot this past week for a spring ‘24 vacation. kudos from a fellow pinoy 🤘🏽
When I think of the mgm grand it always reminds me of tupac and that tragic day and night september 7th 1996 and september 13th 1996.
Great video. Coming to Vegas next month.
Comprehensive review. thanks for the detailed tour .
Great video Jaycation👍 I enjoyed watching it.

When it comes to MGM Grand, I like the Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill along with the casino floor & the CBS experience in the District.

Thanks for watching Darren!

yeah i want to try morimoto someday

ALWAYS TWSS!
I love the lazy river at mgm grand and I like mgm hotel because you can get your room before 3
I remember seeing the Jabbawockeez show at MGM Grand. That show was pretty funny and entertaining.
nice! I saw them at monte carlo once upon a time

nice! i mean walking and the free trams are best way to get around. Monorail u have to pay.
Dope video.. Aria after the Strat?
ill have to do aria sometime this year!
we will be staying at the mgm grand for our first trip to Vegas in July 2022. Can't wait. We are coming from Alberta, Canada!
Shout out to Alberta! Have a great time!
What is it about the food options you don't like? We have had some very good meals at CraftSteak, Morimoto and L'Atelier (amazing.) Emerils is good as well. Joel Robuchon is at the highest level in Vegas dining.
Best part of MGM Grand.. Lazy river
Lazy river with a bud light!
I stayed here in January 1994, May 2002, October 2005, February 2009, November 2011, and June 2018
Staying there May 21st to 23rd, got a regular 2 queen room, would you recommend using the $20 trick to get an upgrade???
What is the $20 trick
Good review, I agree MGM needs o step up food court/restaurants. 👍🏼
for sure! better food options would help. i hear jonas bros are opening a restaurant there
Exiting to see How it looks like.
Huge resort!
I'm staying there for new years for the raiders niner game since it's closest to the stadium. I usually stay at aria, we'll see how it goes 🤷
Was there in April 2022 for BTS concert. I agree the hotel is huge and also the food choice offered isn't that great. Pieology is a definite plus.
BTS weekend must have been fun!
I love MGM the only thing I don't like is that there's a long walk to the pool, also my husband has gotten lost about 3 times on 4 stays

Hi Jaycation and I hope your Sunday will be a good one.
Thanks Bill! Hope you had a great weekend!
Hi may I know what the name of the CEO and HR of MGM grand? Thank you very important.
Event bough it’s a one end of the strip, it’s still close enough to walk to CVS etc!
CVS is also close by near Park MGM

@Alejandro So, you've never stayed at any of their rooms? Then how do you know if they're nice or not.🤔
Who remembers when they had real lions in a glass habitat?
there was an amusement park there too!
How strict are they with the no outside food and drink policy? Just booked them and didn’t even realize they had that. I usually like to bring a pizza into my room. Afraid they’ll not allow that.
You should be fine.
Starbucks NO!! okay j/k... but no $30 breakfasts like I did.
haha wasnt it like an $45 starbucks brekky?
You use the sink as an ice bucket too?
yup! if i dont have a cooler its a must
Went to mgm grand last week did think it was little run down popped in few other and other ones was lot nicer
Do you know how much is parking fee for self parking?
Usually its 15 a night unless you have M rewards Pearl level and its free!
Thanks!
I hit my first handpay in Vegas at the MGM Grand!
thats awesome!
MGM Grand is the best when there is a boxing event here.
so much energy in that casino on fight night!
@@Jaycation I was there for the Canelo vs Mayweather fight in 2012 🏨 💪 Also saw David Copperfield magic show 🎩💥
Hey Jaycation can you see my comment? Have a wonderful weekend
Omg what a completely horrific room view …I always specifically ask for a high room with a view of the strip
Manny Pacquiao usually stays at Mandalay Bay, even thought the fight is at MGM Grand Garden Arena
yeah he loves mandalay!
Do you know Tupac was at mgm at 1996
yeah... RIP to tupac!
I Got Lost at MGM Grand it huge hotel
very easy to get lost!
Have you seen any of the Female Professional Poker Players at the MGM Grand?
I hated Pieology when I tried it. The pizzas are way too small and I would rather go for something more robust in both flavor, size and toppings.
I still can believe ppls willing to pay for these fees, parking, resorts, rooms, and food
This vidrio is old and not current.

Wow 😮 after that experience it’s would be and absolutely no return to that property I’m so sorry that you had to deal with that really unprofessional.
This place is sooo large and parking. i get lost always.. I try to avoid it
Yeah its definitely too big for some
I couldn’t stay there to huge and walking Will kill my bone 🦴 bone arthritis 😂
yeah its a lot to walk around
did you and Norma hook up?
Hair in my bathroom..
For some reason I’ve never been a fan MGM grand.
its not for everyone
I always feel the people who stay there are hardcore hillbillys.
Haha! I always thought that was fremont street lol
