  • A story that needs to be told. Listen to Michelle as she shares the historical impacts of colonialism that continue to affect the Indigenous peoples today. The deeply brave and personal stories bring to light the importance of pushing for positive change and what still needs to be accomplished. Michelle, aka Indigenous Baddie, uses TikTok & Instagram to educate others about Indigenous life and issues while being a first-time mom. Through the platforms, she shares her culture, talks about the history of Canada while tackling stereotypes, and encourages others to reconnect with their roots. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
