Terry Townshend is a British conservationist based in Beijing who has been working in environmental law for ten years. On his arrival in Beijing, he was amazed at the sheer amount of wildlife and habitat that Beijing has to offer, and this has been a considerable attraction to him. He found that Beijing's location on the migration route of birds, and the fact that the government has not neglected to protect the environment in recent years along with economic growth, and that the number of people interested in nature has exploded, with more and more wildlife choosing to live in Beijing, a trend that he hopes will never stop.
