    Great job on bringing this one back to life!
    Any updates? Did you plow snow with it this last winter? Please show us what the QT16 has been up to! Thanks.

    Finally someone who understands me I always pressure wash stuff before I work on it it makes it a whole lot easier

      100% agree! Why work on something that's all greasy and dirty if you can avoid it? Makes it so much nicer to work on when they're clean. I get you!

      Thank you! I agree, I think it's a fun little hobby. It's nice to take something that someone else gave up on, and then fix it and make it nice and/or useful again.

      Thanks! Yours look pretty decent as they are! It really does transform it though. I will say that it's good and bad. Now that it looks real nice, I don't want to mess it up lol.

      Thanks buddy! I grew up on this thing. Cool to have it looking good again. I was very happy to have the boys help too. Next is to get them using it. Hopefully it'll be good memories for us all.

    Hello. My bolens qt16 runs great. But leaking at the hydrostatic box. It did run really low on fluied. Now it wont go forward or backwords. Have filed it up again.
    Do you need to pump air out of the system or something. I cant figure out hiw. And why it wont drive now.

    I have a QT17 and I am looking for a rear seal on the axle hub as it is leaving severely and just need to know where I might be able to find one. And do you know about hooking up the carburator the correct way also

    • @TractorHoarders
      @TractorHoarders  2 месяца назад

      There are multiple Facebook groups focused towards Bolens that would help. Also check out SamsBolens.com . For the carburetor on a QT16, they came with a Kohler KT2 engine originally, versus the QT16 using an Onan, so I’m not sure.

    Nice job! I really enjoyed seeing the team effort on this project too. Don't ever take that for granted. My Dad and I repaired many things together, right from the start, but my kids never shared that interest.
    Garden tractors are as close as I'm gonna get to owning a big tractor, but that's ok. You can do ALOT of work with these old machines, and it's cool mowing the lawn with one that old or older.👍

    • @TractorHoarders
      @TractorHoarders  3 года назад +1

      I so enjoy working with my boys, and even just capturing bits and pieces of it in videos like this is really great to have. I agree, garden tractors are so useful and very capable! The ones from this era were built right and built to last. Your Cub looks real nice from your profile pic. Those are tough machines that will last forever.

      @@TractorHoarders Full disclosure/true confession...that's not my Cub Cadet in the profile pic. Mine is a 149 that I'm desperately trying to complete. The profile pic was an inspiration for me and I couldn't resist!😊
      I hope when I "reveal" mine, it will be as worthy an example as the profile garden tractor. I have ALOT of respect for the garden tractors of that era.

      @@TractorHoarders just take the time to do more paint and clear coat to make it last or your going to let it bother you and not be happy about it.
