He makes a great point about people only being sympathetic when injuries are visible. That’s true across all walks of life.

Guys are especially expected to not be sick when they're actually sick. I see a lot of women making fun of men like we can't handle a cold or whatever, but I've gone to work while running a fever, practically almost passing out a couple of times throughout the day, and nobody even knew I was sick at all.

They’ve had a couple of bad gigs when James had a cold etc, but respect to them for not cancelling.
They don’t have ‘bad’ gigs per se- their crew is the best in the business. Seen them many times and you always get a fantastic, spectacular and professional show

I can't imagine being on the road as much as they've been in the last 40 years and what they've had to go through health-wise. You know how many viruses, and bacteria, and just random crap you must get from hanging out with 20,000 people every day? True road dogs.

Tom Araya has a funny comeback for interviewers in a hotel room who ask him "Touring all over the world must be amazing right?? How was Paris?". He will say "How was Paris? Same as Mexico, Same as Argentina, Same as St. Louis.... look at these white walls around you. Thats my memory of all those places..." kinda sad when you think about it.
