GRRM did give them an outline of where he believed the story was going… so the basic premise of it was correct … but they fucked it … the battle at winterfell likely was the last stand.. maybe Arya was supposed to be the one who killed the night king (blue eyes…) but in no way was it supposed to be over in one episode

The hardhome battle between Jon and the white walker was one of the best parts of the entire series. That was masterfully shot
And it didn't happen in the books! Not in the level of detail the episode went into. Not to mention the episode was written by D&D.
@@canadian__ninja Those two were capable of such greatness but got impatient in the end, and shafted everyone - most importantly the very characters that they had nurtured for so many years. Jon (and Jaime) deserved a much better ending. Very, very sad.

I got a bit choked up seeing all the folks crying over Jon, I read the books so I was ready for it, but seeing other people get hit with it for the first time brought up the old memories. Then @5:50 that dude breaks out the arsenal and I had to retype this comment three times from laughing so hard.

@D K Over 20 years of anticipation and foreshadowing for Jon Snow, Aegon Targaryen, Son of ice and fire, Dragon, Warg, Commander of the nights watch, The resurrected, Azor Ahai reborn, King of the North and heir to the Iron Throne, to hide behind a rock from a dragon as Arya the spider monkey kills the night king in like 2 seconds then after killing his aunt and love of his life (because she went batshit insane for no reason whatsoever) is imprisoned, does not ascend to the throne and then fucks off back beyond the wall to ice fish and live in a mud hut. Incredible stuff right there. Really satisfying after all that build up I gotta say.

@TheVolourn Well, like it or not but that shit was added in there when it was not in the books, so yes, women have a right to be upset. Same with Daenerys. In the books, she wasn't forced to have sex by Draco. He took his time with her until she wanted him. Only major bad thing though is that Daenerys as well as Sansa, Jon and Robb are all much younger in the books than the show.

Never in my life has a show on TV made me as emotional as this show, nor have the range of emotions been so diverse. Hopefully in 25+ years this show and mainly the story from the books is held as one of the best ever. Thank you George Martin, HBO and Dan and Dave for making this 30 year old man cry from watching a TV show.

How could they destroy the most important character of the series in the last two seasons.
Because that was about the time all the studios started to cave into the SJW movement where men, white heterosexual alpha men in particular, were to be hated and despised. All female ghostbusters, Oceans 8, Terminator, Captain Marvel and Scarlet Witch being more powerful than Thor, turning all the male characters into women.
I'm reading the books right now, and so far by book 5 there are hints at Dani's madness already. It's a slow burn, but the hints are there and have been all along.

Those happy moments shattered in Season 8 all of them
The transition from the birth at the Tower of Joy to adult Jon, followed by Lyanna Mormonts speech and Jon being declared King was done very well. Despite the criticisms the later seasons get, some fair and some unfair, they still made some great TV. This, Hold the Door, Brienne being Knighted. There are some fantastic moments in the last couple seasons.
Remember.....Tyrion also touched a dragon. In the chamber, where they were locked, as he spoke with them. A three-headed dragon, indeed. Curious where season 8 will go.
Well the dragons allowed Tyrion to touch them because he was taking off their chains, and he came to them. Drogon came up to Jon himself.

Lisa Shelton Tyrion is the son of Cersei and Jaime’s mother, but his father is Aerys II Targaryen. Tywin was the first knight of Aerys, they were friend. But Aerys was a controversial king and he appreciated Joanna (Tyrion’s mother). We don’t know if he abused her or if they wanted both, but Tyrion is their son. This explain so much things. Tywin says that Tyrion is his son only for the name that the reign gave him, he doesn’t want admit that it’s not his son because it’s not meant to be a honorable thing. In fact Tywin is a honor man, he doesn’t want admit that Cersei and Jaime fuck, while she sais this to him, because it’s a disgusting thing for the Lannister family.
Tyrion is a Targaryen and a Lannister (Joanna is a Lannister), for this reason his hair are blond Lannister. (Jon is a Targaryen and a Stark and his aspect is of a Stark)
Tyrion and Daenerys, brother by father, are uncle and aunt of Jon. These three are the three dragon’s heads.
I’m pretty sure that in season 8 we’re going to see this revelation.

I suspect that Longclaw was Lightbringer. What Melisandre saw was a whole lot of symbolism and that was one more thing she got wrong. Valyrian steel was special and, as we've seen, works against walkers.
