First of all, this car is one of Ex's masterpieces. The color combination is just about perfect for this Polara. And secondly, I normally do not like background music when showing a car but this organ music is right up my street. Excellent, thank you.
Chrysler Corporation's 1960 lineup was marvelous. Exner and his team were riding high on the popularity of his space-aged '57s when these cars were designed in early 1957. The optimism and excitement really shows. These cars were more than transportation, they were a statement and a futuristic fantasy rolled into one!
I had a friend in High School who had a 10 year old gold 4 door plain Jane 1960 Dodge. What a dog. I mean really, what a dog. This gorgeous car is like another make altogether.
In 1970 my dad bought a white 1960 Polara . It didn't last long because at the time he had a drinking issue and got into an accident with it . What a shame that was ☹️
